punishable by a $1,000 fine. he >> you can see the first pictures from this -- from the scene had a vote whether u.s. support having metal detectors in schools. >> a stolen car investigation led to a police-involved shooting in baltimore county. we are told the incident started around 11:31 and officer spotted a stolen vehicle. when the officer approached, the driver took off toward the officer, forcing him to open fire. police track down the car and the suspect. the suspect is being treated for a gunshot wound to the upper body and is expected to survive. the officer has been placed on routine administrative leave. a 14-year-old accused of shooting a student on -- at perry hall high school could be released on bail tomorrow.

he is set to appear in the baltimore county circuit court. officials postponed a previous hearing. he faces 29 criminal counts back. if granted bail, that does not necessarily mean he will return to school. the policy on firearms calls for a one-year expulsion for any student found with a weapon. >> for the first time in more than three decades, u.s. ambassador has been killed in an attack on an american embassy. the assault came on the second day of protests in cairo's and there are concerns it could be tied to the september 11 anniversary. we began in cairo. >> demonstrators rose up, there are agitated and infuriated that an internet video had been posted online, even though it

has been online for some line -- for some time, ridiculing the prophet mohammad. those demonstrators scale the wall and pulled down a flight. it did not hurt anyone inside. the more we learn about it, the less like that it seems. it was a commando-style raid where militants who may have been angry about this same video clearly moved in with a military style tactic. they had rpgs and machine guns. that is the kind of thing carried out by a militant group or al qaeda. officials are looking into that right now. was it just a coincidence that the u.s. ambassador happened to be in benghazi at time of the

attack. it is clear now that these were to a very different instances, a spontaneous uprising that resulted in no casualties in cairo and the guerrilla assault in benghazi that killed the u.s. ambassador. >> u.s. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are condemning the attacks, vowing to bring justice to those involved in the killing. a group of marines has been deployed to libya. our reporter joins us now from washington. how is this situation playing out among the different parties when it comes to the presidential campaign? >> net romney inserted himself into this situation by issuing a statement last night here. he spoke about it today at a campaign event. process of checking for the individual responsible for this event. >> it was two years ago when and 83-year-old woman in anne arundel county was raped. tonight, they're trying to figure out if the man behind the attack struck again. police say 70-year-old woman was getting dressed in her home in the 100 block of country club drive when a man burst into her room. the man ran off and was not hurt. but the incident may be linked to the incident from 2010. an elderly woman living in the same block of that street was attacked late at night by a man covering his face with a scarf. he was described as having a large build and police say he was never found. detectives are confirming they are actively investigating a

we do know at this point there was a single shooter involved. we still have not been able to confirm whether the male who was shot was a student. that has not been confirmed. the victim has been taken to the hospital. the campus is on walked down and many messages from people on twittered. it was a lot of misinformation early in the story. it was breaking there was a stabbing that happened. it was most definitely a shooting. the person has been taken to hospital. >> as we get more information, we will pass it along. it was a grand opening of the maryland casino. areas under construction were opened, clearing the way for more slots. but it was all smiles from those who had to drive around the facility. >> let's go live now to the
