gunman who opened fire on morgan state university campus this afternoon. >> we brought the story to you with breaking news at 5:00 and 6:00. there are new developments, we are live. >> officials think the shooting may have been targeted. a university spokesman says neither the gunman or the student -- neither the gunman or the victim or students here. that shooting happened early this afternoon at a building popular among students. >> the shots were fired inside of a student center just before 5:00 p.m. >> one shooter, one victim, were known to each other. there was a relationship. definitely, it looks like it was a targeted shooting. >> police say the victim, whose name and age has not been released, was shot in the stomach. he was listed in critical but

stable condition. either the gunman or student -- nor victim were students. students receive this alert. >> shooting confirmed. emergency. stay indoors away from windows. >> all people were being lobbied into buildings. i went to a room with no windows and locks it. >> they cleared the building, at which point, the officials here on campus were able to move around freely again. >> it appears some kind of off- campus confrontation spilled into the student center. >> it is difficult. we are a state institution and a public university. we have an open campus. it is not physically pop -- possible to shut this campus down or put bars around it. >> in baltimore, these things

in a parking lot. >> police are investigating a pay -- a case of a man breaking into an elderly woman's home in glen burnie. it is at least the third incident on that same block in two years. police have stepped up their patrols and are warning residents to stay alert. >> the latest break-in was saturday night. a 70-year-old woman was getting dressed and looked up to find a man standing outside of her bedroom. >> he stepped toward her, despite a knife. he covered his face with her shirt. >> the woman was not injured. the suspect got away with the shirt. >> they have increased patrols throughout the neighborhood. the case brings back disturbing memories gary >> there were two incidents. the one up there. there was a break in two years ago, as well. maybe it is the same guy.
