investigating two separate garage fires. about two hours later, there was another fire in a garage. crews are on the scenes of both fires, trying to determine the cause of both places. mandatory meetings where officials have introduced -- introduced a new safety and security plan for teachers and administrators. administrators are learning more about detecting trouble and reporting suspicious activity. the county teachers association welcomes the new measures. >> tomorrow there will be information coming out that will help them not only to understand what their role is, but to help the students understand what their role is. and i believe it will be coming out for the parents as well. >> information for parents will be included in a letter from the

>> covering the nation today, four people dead and eight others seriously injured after an alleged drunk driver drove a bus into a crowd at a las vegas bus stop. he lost control of his car, went airborne, and spun out of control. four passengers in the car are being treated for injuries ranging from serious to critical. the driver is in serious condition at a hospital. he is charged with four counts of dui. of baltimore county driver is

>> in today's consumer alert, they are doing it again. airfares on the rise. southwest airlines led the price hike by raising prices $10 each way. did not take long for u.s. airways and jetblue follow suit. the domino effect continue with delta airlines and virgin american might -- matching the increase. if you are traveling by air for thanksgiving, the flights will not be cheap, but the cheapest flights you can get will be available starting next week. that is according to farecompare.com. it also says the cheapest flights take off on at thanksgiving or the day before

amazon has been selling the cameras without adding tax. >> i think it is unfair to sell for less than the local retailer can do. >> but that is changing. on saturday, amazon will start collecting california sales tax and turning it over to the state, the same way george's camera has been doing it since 1985. that is good news for local merchants since the advantage of online shopping for many consumers has been to avoid paying as much. >> do you believe you have lost money? >> absolutely. >> it was called a use tax and you were supposed to want -- voluntarily pay it to the state. now amazon and other major players will start collecting @. >> it will be cheaper and not having to park and drive and go to the mall is important.

we come across all these different people who must survive all this time and meet a lot of interesting characters and people around the route. and then you get to see what has happened over the years with flashbacks. it is very cool. it answers a lot of the questions quite quickly throughout the series, which keeps -- will keep the audience really engaged and interested. >> billy, tell me about your character. >> global on 0 miles has been hiding out for the past several -- loveable uncle miles has been hiding out in chicago when charlie, tracy's character, comes to find me. he seems to be the last hope to find her brother. he has a special skill set. he is ex-military.
