until 7:00 this evening. there are no tornado warnings right now. there are some pretty strong cells out there. around baltimore, it is mostly light to moderate rain. the wind is gusting over 30 miles per hour but no tornado warnings. they issued a severe thunderstorm warning and little while ago but that has expired. in the northern part of the county in carroll county, you can see some heavy rain and wind gusts between 50 and 60 miles per hour. the storm is moving to the northeast at 60 miles per hour. there is a lot of momentum but there are no warnings in effect at this time but that could change at any moment. we will keep you updated. or a tornado watch in effect until 7:00 tonight, we will have heavy amounts of rain and the high temperature this section and will be around 79 degrees.

we will be back in a few minutes. >> thank you. the severe weather is causing some major flooding in baltimore county. we're live over one of the worst hit areas at miller's island. >> this is the area of chesapeake avenue down here at miller's island. we will show you a little bit of the road which is flooded out. this is a small taste of what will be going on down here. tonight between 6:00 and 2:00 a.m. is when they have the flood warnings. this is not unusual for the residents of miller's island to be dealing with this. there are no evacuation set up at the present time a baltimore county fire department is prepared to deal with it. >> thank you. more violence in afghanistan today -- a suicide bomber blew up a bus carrying foreign

workers near kabul airport. the group behind the attacks as it was in response to an anti- islamic film making its way across the matter -- middle east. >> the suicide bomber appears to have been trolling for any foreigners in kabul in response to an anti a islamic town. the bomb exploded next to a small bus, killing eight south african aviation contractors. the militant group claimed responsibility and said the car bombing was carried out by a 22- year-old female which is rare in afghanistan where few women even drive let alone carry out attacks. there were riots in kabul on monday and attention from the video only adds to a far bigger problem, a spike in insider

outside an elementary school. the man was acting suspiciously outside the school in odenton. the incident happened after normal school operation hours but community activities or under way at the time. if you recognize this person, call anne arundel county police. city police are investigating the murder of a doctor in northeast baltimore. police responded before 10:30 last night. they found the 51-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. he was rushed to johns hopkins but did not survive. police say he worked as a contractor for the national as to the pelt was parking his car when he was approached by unknown suspects in a possible armed robbery attempt. police continue their investigation and search for suspects. baltimore county police are

warning residents to lock their doors today after a string of burglaries. in some cases, the victims accidentally gave steve access to their homes. most have left their cars unlocked with their garage openers clips to their visors. at least 30 car break-ins have been reported over the last two weeks. the thieves made off with credit cards and other valuables. police are reiterating the importance of locking your cars and making sure you don't have any valuables in plain sight. the orioles continue their post -- there end of season push. the former mariner's embarrassed his former team mates. thanks to a whole lot of run support from his teammates.

devastating floods in cameroon have killed at least seven people. the resulting floods have forced thousands of people out of their homes. those displaced have taken shelter and i wanted to a number of schools. there's fears of a humanitarian crisis and the creeping fears of waterborne diseases. chicago teachers union officials are scheduled to meet today to discuss and potentially boat on the latest contract offer, possibly ending the strike. chicago mayor rahm emanuel says the strike is illegal and will have city attorneys to file an injunction to force teachers back to work in that hearing is scheduled for tomorrow. one virginia dad may have gone too far to help is on land a homecoming date. the department, and security

that. there are no warnings in effect at this time but there is no lightning detected at this time. that is all good. the instability in the atmosphere is not high. there is nothing right around baltimore right now, just a light ray. once you get into the northern part of carroll county and frederick county, there's a strike a pretty heavy rain. in that raid, you can see some of that momentum from 5,000 feet up transferred to the surface so there could be gusty winds. at the present time, not a whole lot of things happening but we will keep an eye on a to see how things progress. rain andt some heavy wind gusts about 40 miles per hour. most of the areas under the tornado watch until 7:00 tonight. it is basically the entire mid atlantic region under a tornado watch.

we showed you this at the top of the show, you have a coastal flood warning in effect for the western shore of chesapeake bay with a self been going about 35 miles per hour pushing this water out of the chesapeake bay. the high tide may come in about two or 3 feet above normal. there is a look at the wind gusts in annapolis at 35 miles per hour. 76 degrees at the airport and 71 in parkton and you will feel the humidity. rain is likely today and some will be heavy with thunderstorms possible, the high temperature between 76-81 degrees. it quiets down through the middle portion of the week. a mixture of sun and clouds the tail end of the week and i could be a sprinkle wednesday afternoon but generally quiet the rest of the week and next chance of rain will be saturday.
