>> our big story this morning. new developments on a story brought you first yesterday. 11 news has confirmed that someone intentionally set two fires yesterday, one that injured seven people. >> we had the first reporter at the scene yesterday. good morning. >> good morning. witnesses told us this fire spread quickly and now we know why. police say molotov cocktails were found here at the scene and at the scene of another nearby fire yesterday morning. this morning, you can still smell the smoke. windows are still boarded up. it was just before 4:00 yesterday morning when residents woke up to smoke. seven people, including a seven year-old boy had to be taken to area hospitals with varying degrees of injuries. there was another fire where no

one was hurt. they were both started by molotov cocktails, the work of an arsonist. police are working with arson investigators and looking for clues. they say these apartments do appear to be chosen at random. >> it does not appear that these are targets. it could be as simple as juvenile playing dangerous pranks, if it is something more serious, we will be on that quickly. >> here at park side gardens, 12 apartment units were affected. the apartment management is working with the victims of that fire. as for the suspects, police are offering a reward. >> thank you. police have identified the woman found dead in a vacant lot next

to the mall. police say they found a 25-year- old woman shot to death tuesday morning. no word as to who may have killed her. >> a baltimore county cosmetic surgery center has been shut down as investigators look bad infections that killed one patient. -- that killed one patient. investigators and not sure how she was infected with the bacteria, but they have closed down the clinic to investigate. >> symptoms like fever, drainage from the site, we want you to call your primary care provider in call your local doctor.

>> they have highly trained and licensed professionals, according to the center. they are not currently licensed by the state of maryland. >> after a meeting to dealing drugs on the job, an officer will spend 20 years behind bars. he admitted to conspiring to sell drugs. he is a 17-year veteran of the force. he sold heroin out of the parking lot. >> new details in the murder of a couple. the suspect used a pair of 20 pound dumbbells to kill the couple. their grandson is charged with their murder. police tracked him down to a in -- to an oklahoma motel room. he has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.

he was charged with first-degree murder in another case. he used a baseball bat to beat the students so severely, the victim lost sight in one eye. >> now 2 and 11 news what. attorneys for -- to a 11 news follow-up. there is a case used -- related to using state money to pay an employee of her law firm. she also used the money to pay wedding expenses. if convicted, she faces up to 80 months in jail on theft charges. -- 18 months in jail on theft charges.
