news for ravens fans, the officials will be on the field tonight at these -- as the ravens take on the ground. -- on the grounds. >> the negotiations went late into the night, an indication of how much pressure there was on the league and the officials' union to strike a deal. it turns out the officials got almost everything they were asking for. >> the referees won because america realizes how good they are. >> their pensions will remain the same for the next four years. they get an increase in salary, from $149,000 a year to 200 to $5,000 a year. -- to $205,000 a year. >> they work for the fans. >> it is tentative until the officials' union can vote for it friday and saturday. this follows three weeks of missed calls, that calls, and

last night. baltimore city police have made an arrest in the double shooting of a mother and her four-year- old sun. police say they have arrested eric ford sr. with connection to the shooting, stemming from a domestic dispute which came to a peak before 9:30 wednesday night in the 900 block of gorsuch avenue. neighbors are surprised by this type of violence in their community. >> not a typical event, really. i have seen police activity, but never caution tape and actual gunfire sort of activity. nothe victims' injuries are considered life-threatening. police are trying to figure out how a man's body ended up in the harbor. the 63-year-old man was found in the 2500 block of boston street in canton. homicide detectives are calling the death suspicious and are

awaiting the medical examiner's autopsy report. police in anne arundel county say a mother left her five children alone in an odenton hotel room while she committed a robbery. tameka wright faces charges of robbery and five counts of unintended children. she and another man force them into the ground and demanded money. police found five children ranging in ages from four months to six years old. the children are now being cared for by a relative. crews in ocean city have a massive fire under control as officials tried to determine what sparked the blaze. officials are calling it a three-alarm fire that severely damaged one building on the north side of the bradley on the day condo complex on the 3700 block of coastal highway. 18 units have been damaged, and officials say no injuries are

reported. here's a look at pictures our viewers set in to -- sent into ulocal. in this picture, you can see thick, black smoke billowing out of the building. repairs to a sinkhole on monument street are ongoing today and are expected to continue until november. last night residents and business owners in that area met with dpw officials to address concerns about the repair process. many residents say they have experienced structural damage because of the repairs to the sinkhole that opened back in july. >> they have cracks in the foundation, broken windows. some people -- >> city officials say vibration monitors have not shown levels that would cause structural damage to buildings, but they are asking residents with concerns to contact the city legal department. coming up, a vicious attack

>> an elderly woman is recovering after she lost her arm in a brutal alligator attack in central florida. a neighbor says he was walking near a canal when he heard her scream. she had apparently fallen into the water before an alligator severed her arm between the elbow and shoulder blade. one alligator was captured and killed yesterday and was taken in for testing to see if it was the alligator that did the woman. after emergency surgery, the woman is expected to be ok. graphic images out of idaho where a police officers caught on camera shooting and killing a dog. the incident happened monday when the officer was called to a home for a welfare check. shortly after arriving, two dogs raced out of the house and jumped at the officer. you can see the officer retreating to the neighbors before shooting the dogs.

police say they immediately took the massive the bowl mix to a veterinarian's office, but he died. a man is charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in an accident outside new york city in march last year. prosecutors say he was seriously sleep deprived when he drove the world wide travel bus off i-95, and a national transportation safety board investigation supports that claim. but williams' attorney insists he was awake and alert during the crash. still to come, if your kids are college-bound soon, you are probably stressing about what school they will get into. we will tell you why making that decision might be the biggest part of the process. >> a friend generating rain from

trying to thin a little bit from baltimore sells word. that is driving temperatures up a bit. we have another cluster of showers in ohio coming into west virginia. this is where our next thrust of rain will come from this afternoon and this evening. in this is a front. we did get some rain right before daybreak this morning, and overnight last night. we will show you. it was mostly from the city north worward. some of these green targets, almost an inch of rain. parts of baltimore county, harford county, cecil county. here we only got a trace of rain in the area. we take a look at the pollen count. we have not had much rain to wash it out of the air, but the plants are not very active either. no tree pollen, grass pollen. temperature was coming can see where the sun is having its best

effect. we begin to see these orange shades where temperatures are moving up to around 80 or more than that. the green shades, tempered as mostly in the 60's. for the front is to the north where most of the clouds are, that is where you see the green shade and the colder temperatures. here you can visualize where the front is. it is a little farther to the south, right over us. what is going to happen is this low-pressure center moves farther east, and the front will probably temporarily go back north. we will be in that humid air, and a chance for some rain as this moves into the area later this afternoon and this evening. it could be some locally heavy showers, but not everybody will be affected. once that goes through, the front will sink south again, but not very far. it will be in the neighborhood for several days, so we will be either under the influence of the warmer high-pressure, or

maybe the cooler, drier stuff to the north. on the fence over the weekend. mostly cloudy skies, scattered showers with the chance is increasing this afternoon and this evening. somebody may catch some thunder. the highest chance for that will be south of us. the highest -- the high temperature will be 80 today. during the game this evening, we could see something pass across the area, but with the scattered nature of it, there is no guarantee it would affect the football game. mostly cloudy, showers possible. 70 to 74 is the temperature range during the game with a night -- with a light easterly wind. the front still in the neighborhood. we're trying to get into the cooler air. eventually, once we get past friday, most of the rain associated with the from a move on to the south, and we should have a drier trend over the weekend. some of these clouds coming in late in the day saturday will
