baltimore looks to even out the american league divisional series at one game apiece against the new york yankees. the post season run continues to be the top story. mother nature cast a weather spell over the second night. >> after a 40 minute game delayed, they opened up game 2 against the yankees. baltimore is being new york 3-1 in the top of the seventh inning. the yankees would have to win only one more game to advance to the american league championship series. we're covering the orioles postseason magic. fans have gotten used to the damp and chilly conditions. >> it only sprinkled and reigned before the game, nothing major. the temperature has dropped. much cooler than most fans are used to. fans are not letting that stop

the victims' statements could have weighed on the amount of time the judge will impose. >> it happened around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon in the 4000 block of nora's filled road -- norrisville road. the man pointed a shotgun at one of the troopers. after the man refused to drop his gun and in his fear for his life, the tripper fired his weapon hitting john murphy in the shoulder and arm. his injuries are not considered life-threatening. city police say the victim who was fatally shot in the head was a 16-year-old girl. she was killed last night just before 10:00 p.m. in the 6200 block. no arrests have been made in this case. state police are investigating skeletal remains found in

westminster. someone noticed a human bone in the 500 block of baltimore boulevard sunday afternoon. a search revealed additional remains. investigators are not able to identify the remains but state medical examiner's confirmed the are of a male. anyone with intermission is urged to call for 10-36-3000. >> the good samaritan is dead tonight after coming to the aid of a driver in connecticut. richard herren fell to his death after jumping over the side of me highway. he was trying to approach -- avoid the approach of a tractor- trailer and did not realize there was a large drop. he had stopped to help the driver who lost control of her a suv. she suffered minor injuries. that incident is still under investigation. >> next, which two companies are

mountain resort. there are 4,000 feet above sea level. the rain changed over to snow. this started at 9:00 a.m. this morning, changing to a heavy and wet snow. not enough to ski korea but making the folks happy. we had some chilly rain around here. nothing cold enough to produce no. garrard counties on some flights as well. temperatures have spent most of the day in the 30's. we have seen some light sprinkles and rain showers. not enough to be measured in the rain gauge itself. a trace of precipitation today and i checked at the inner harbor near the maryland science center. a rain delay for some light rain showers. just over 25 inches for the year and we're running a deficit of over 7 inches.

the high today, 15 degrees below the average of 69. the record low below freezing in 2001. it is chilly and 53 at the inner harbor. at the eastern shore, temperatures are cool. we're running into the low 50's. there you see the cold producing this out today in the mountains. 34 in oakland. there are freeze warnings in effect for the western sliver of allegheny county and into the mountains of west virginia. we will stay here, mainly cloudy and a chance of a brief sprinkle. this weather disturbances in the upper levels of the atmosphere. it is moving east and it will take the showers offshore. we may get a break for two in the clouds before the next front roles in wednesday afternoon. there will be important for the orioles heading of i-95 to new york. a few breaks in the cloud cover.
