the suspect. you can see it all there on our home page. >> a 21-year-old anne arundel county man faces 124 counts of animal cruelty. officers carried out various animals including a python, turtles, a baby, and a host of dogs and cats. some animals on the property were dead. taylor insists he spent his days caring for the animals. a murder suspect is back in baltimore county take. the 31-year-old is accused of killing his grandparents in their home last month. they were both in their 80's. their bodies were found after a neighbor was unable to contact them. he now faces a two counts of

first-degree murder. a pair of police officers now face criminal charges for allegedly attacking a suspect in police custody. the officers faced several charges including second-degree assault. they are accused of attacking a drug suspect after he attempted to flee from authorities. both men have been suspended since the incident. jury deliberations are set to begin at any minute now in the trial of two police officers charged with beating a university of maryland student. they maintain the officers were trying to control the rowdy crowd during a post-basketball celebration. they face second-degree assault and misconduct charges in the videotaped beating of student john mckenna. the police department is morning

one of their officers killed in a three-car crash in clinton. officer kevin bowden was killed after his cruiser crashed into a utility pole. police say he was a six-year veteran of the force and leaves behind a 10-year-old son and a four-year old daughter. this is the second time in three months that an officer has been killed in a traffic accident. >> taking a look at the satellite radar. you can see the brighter spots, clouds from the bay eastward. that is helping to take up temperatures a little bit. we are striving for a few more

the organization apologized to victims for not doing more but insists it keeps the files from returning tousers the organization. emergency officials say several people were hurt in an accident that involved nine cars. a female bus driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition. police are still investigating what caused that accident. a man that killed his ex-wife's boyfriend is in a standoff with police in tulsa. police evacuated part of the motel this morning. they believe he is holed up inside one of the rooms after he allegedly shot his ex-wife's boyfriend yesterday evening. officers were still outside the

agency officials plan to expand the system to have its fleet next summer to battle safety concerns. >> our goal is to use every tool that is legal to us within our means to try to resolve crimes. we think this is just another tool in the toolbox that our police department can use to help resolve incidents where there is an altercation between an operator and a passenger. >> the aclu opposes the new system, saying it violates passenger privacy rights. the audio recordings do not violate the state wiretapping laws. all commuters can celebrate some good news when it comes to gas prices. we have officially entered the seasonal slide when gas prices start to decline.

the national average has already fallen for 10 straight days. analysts predict prices will drop five to 15 cents each week for the next three weeks. >> now, your e 11 insta-weather plus forecast with john collins. >> a rough night last night with some pretty good thunderstorms. what we are seeing here is the satellite and radar, three hours worth in this loop. rain is slowly pulling out of the area. a small area of shower activity on the eastern shore. it is shrinking. we're seeing more breaks in the clouds. these brighter spots are shifting to the east as well. there is drier air behind it. the sun is beginning to warm things up a little bit. let's look at the rain from last night. 0.6 of an inch of rain has been

measured. at the airport, less than 0.1 of an inch. the radar estimates show that upwards to an inch in parts of baltimore county, howard county, and hartford county. another band out in parts of carroll county and frederick county. in general, about a third of an inch to a half of an inch. the rain has done a number on the pollen count. it was not very high yesterday. everything is now in the low range of. even baltimore has dropped off. temperatures, a cold front coming in and the warmest temperatures breaking to the south of us. behind the cold front, the winds are from the southwest.

the coolest air we see, these dark green shades out in far western maryland where temperatures have only risen into the 50's. these brightest clads still producing a few little showers to the west of laws. here is the front still trying to get across the bay. it is becoming increasingly less likely that a rainshower will pop up. we will still be -- the storm will still be in the great lakes tomorrow. we could get an impulse from it but it is not very likely. we have a fairly dry forecast going into the weekend. our temperatures are beginning to climb into the low 70's. this mixture of sun and clouds. a chance for a brief shower is

possible but not very likely. a little stronger on the eastern shore. a small craft advisory is out on the day. insta-weather futurecast shows a chance of a little isolated or brief small shower or sprinkle could pop up tomorrow afternoon but the chance is diminishing. the computer models indicate saturday and sunday should be by and large dry but something could crop up isolated. it will be cool on sunday for the ravens-texans game. here is our forecast. we will be in the low 70's today. only in the mid 60's saturday and sunday. next week, back into the 70's. >> seasonal influenza officially
