bicycle in the 4800 block. 10 minutes later, a 40-year-old woman was forced out of her car into gold colored sedan by the same three suspects. that was in upland rd. they drove her to an atm machine and withdrew money and left her at the corner of roland and upland. anyone with information is asked to call 911. new at noon, police in anne arundel county and charged a man with kidnapping and attempted murder after a abducted a woman last night. charles wayne rogers forcible entered a home in the 300 block of rose avenue and glencore are any of with a knife and a molotov cocktail. -- in glen bernie. he threw a molotov cocktail on the bed and forced the woman from the home. officers found a pair in the woods outside cochrane middle school and arrested rogers without incident. baltimore city police are trying

to track down a man was sexually assaulted a student on the notre dame of maryland campus monday night. campus officials say the 19- year-old victim was leaving the library shared by loyola university when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. the man sexually assaulting her. then he ran from the scene. campus police say security is always a top priority but tuesday there was an increased presence on the campus. >> we have increased our security patrols and are making sure that our public safety officers are visible and present so students can see them on campus. >> police don't know much about the suspect, only that he is described as a white male in his mid 40's with a medium build and facial hair. baltimore city police investigating an overnight shooting in northwest baltimore. four officers responded to the 1600 block of north monroe street after midnight credit

found an adult females of from a gunshot wound. detectives or on the scene throughout the night. no word on the victim's condition. city police are investigating an officer involved shooting in northwest baltimore that happened before 9:00 last night in the 3000 block of spaulding avenue near pimlico race course. the officer is part of the violent crime impact section. this is a specialized unit gun anding on illegal an drug offenders. >> there on routine patrol. heard gunshots and came to investigate. the individual almost immediately as soon as the officers encountered him fired at police. >> one officer returned fire, hitting the suspect in the upper body. he was taken to hospital where he's listed in serious but stable condition. homicide detectives are investigating purse standard protocol -- per standard protocol.

texas where drivers can go 85 miles an hour. janet has more as we cover the nation. >> driving fast is an american tradition. many consider putting the pedal to the metal a right. speed demons have always been limited to about 65 or 70 miles an hour, until now. if a 40 mile stretch of road between austin and san antonio will allow drivers to push their cars, vans, and trucks to 85 miles an hour, legally. >> i don't see anything wrong with it. it is a state road. >> state road 130 has another distinction. it's a toll road to build with both public and private funding. for almost $1.5 billion. the builder is betting commuters the fed up with growing congestion on nearby interstate

temperatures expected to climb. the sun will warm things up. high temperature near 78 today. clearing through 6:00 p.m. and in the mid 70's. in the '60s by 9:00 p.m. as the skies continued clearing out. we expect a little clearing late. in the clouds will return going into tomorrow. not expecting much precipitation, but the clouds will clear out late. then we get in easily follow tomorrow morning. the clouds shifting back into the area. -- we will get an easterly flow tomorrow morning. tonight, in the 50s across much of the area with clearing overnight, and more clouds building later. in the upcoming days we have interesting weather. first, a cold front will be moving in and out of the west.

cold air right behind that. 22 degrees in great falls, montana. this air is coming from the arctic and will migrate east into the weekend and into next week. we will see a big drop in the temperatures. then we have to watch for the tropics. our latest tropical system, sandy, which is now a hurricane, slamming to make a right now, then headed for cuba. clouds extend all the way up towards bermuda already. that is the direction we expect it to go. but now the wind is sustained at 80 miles an hour, likely to pass east of florida as we get into friday and saturday. pringles from this is a question. right now it's expected to go off the coast of the carolinas and into the atlantic. however, as the colder air starts to move in from the west, it could start to draw sandy in.

so it could track closer to the mid-atlantic coast and possibly make landfall near jersey. so much can change with this system. i just wanted let you know there could be two different outcomes. a high temperature 78 this afternoon. we expect low 70's by tomorrow with more clouds. 70 degrees by friday. the weekend is still questionable. if we get an impact from sandy it would be sunday night into monday. much alike could change. >> law and order special victims unit has chronicled new york pose the most heinous crimes over 13 seasons. it is celebrating a milestone today, its 300th epsisode episode airs tonight on wbal-tv. two of its hottest detectives are joining us. >> how are you?
