harford county is closed because of sandy. an carroll county is opening two hours later -- and anne arundel county is opening two hours late. some schools may come back on today. baltimore county is opening on time today but there are 17 schools there without power. if you have lights today, there will be school. 10 schools without power in howard county. they made a determination to make sure their clothes. baltimore city, harford county, out. anne arundel county, two hours

stock futures this morning are quiet. the date of october jobs report is due this friday. many are wondering whether the data would be out on time. the bureau of labor statistics is working hard for the timely release. baltimore's jobless rate is improving. the jobless rate dropped to 7.1% in baltimore. it is still halloween. the drought is a good thing for pumpkin farmers. more pumpkins are available and that means prices have been pretty cheap. that bloomberg headquarters, i'm jane king reporting for wbal-tv 11 news.
