sunday a day after romney was stumping in the granite state. long lines at early voting centers across the state for days have translated into an impressive turnout. election officials tell the baltimore sewn -- "baltimore sun" more that 40,000 voters cast their ballots up to saturday night. it's been such a success, some lawmakers are discussing expanding the number of early voting centers in 2014 beyond the current 26. maryland voters have been bombarded with ads about question 7. today a final push to reach those who may still be on the fence. >> today's go up was made up mostly of baltimore area politicians who say question 7 is bad news for charm city,

this as police and fire unions today endorsed question 7. a bus full of question 7 opponents traveled around the state saturday to convince would-be voters to reject adding table games to existing slots casinos and building a sixth casino in prince george's county. >> even if you are for gambling and love to gamble, this expanding gambling bill is just bad for the state and bad for maryland. >> because, they say, a p.g. county casino will take business and jobs away from the soon to be built casino here in the m and t bank stadium and they say the millions expanded gambling promises is questionable. >> we're saying they already overestimated what slots are going to do. it's premature. >> supporters of question 7 have a much different view when it comes to follow the money. >> they want marylanders to keep coming to west virginia

casinos like theirs, spending $70 million a year. question 7 means millions for maryland schools guaranteed. >> the money promises to go into the state's education trust fund. but whether or not it will increase the amount the state actually sfends on education is in dispute. >> our education fund is not going to be expanded. it can't be expanded according to law unless they put provisions in the bill to make those changes and they have not done that. >> meanwhile, on saturday, leaders of maryland's police and fire unions endorsed question 7. one of those leaders said, "all be of us in public safety know that we have been struggling with staffing needs in recent years. this is a common sense initiative that will republican -- generate additional revenues for our state and right here in prince george's county." under maryland law, casinos must close at 2:00 a.m. on week

baltimore city police are investigating a pair of deadly shootings tonight. 9 most recent happened just before 3:00 this afternoon where police found a 29-year-old man shot multiple times inside a home in the 2100 block of linworth avenue. no suspects in the shooting of abe man in lake worth a he was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. anyone with information on either of these shot -- shootings should call city police. five five were injured in a collision with a police cruiser the police tell us the police cruiser was stopped when two vehicles collided, sending one into the police cruiser. no word on whether any charges

big disturbance rather than a small one. more on that in a bit. today, a lot of clouds held the temperature down. that northwest wind helped too. typical high is 61. way off the mark. the low was fairly close to normal. nowhere near the records from 2003. indianapolis is 48 degrees. on -- an app plis is 48 degrees. in oakland they were in the 20's this morning. there was snow on the ground out there and that helps chill the temperatures a bit. generally everyone was cloudy in the air. here's that rain to the south. west of town there are a few breaks in the clouds. we're kind of surrounded by it in a doughnut hole right now. we may see more breaks in the clouds with a beautiful sunrise

tomorrow morning. but here's that little disturbance coming through the area now. again, that's headed more to the south so it's not really an issue in our weather. the one we're really watching, actually a couple of them, one developing to the south down in texas that will be going out on the coast and out to sea and another one developing up to the north that will lockstep with another development in the south in the middle of the week and the two will combine. we know how storms combine and give us trouble. looks like we could see something like that again. overnight, the low 42. lot of clouds. northwest winds at 2 do 7 miles an hour and by the way, standard time goes into effect so set your clock back one hour tonight before you go to bed. tomorrow's forecast, yeah, we may see a few more sun breaks. we'll call it partly cloudy to

for four games naivey looked on its way to miss a bowl game for another season. every -- ever since though, they have figured things -- things out and today earned their way back to the postseason. hosting florida atlantic, first-ever meeting between the schools. florida atlantic jumps on the board the. wallace from a yard out. 7-0. freshman quarterback, a star on the rise. into the end zone there. he rushed for 159 yards. midst up 14-10 at the break. on fourth and 7, navy going to the air. sure you go to the air if you have a big target like that. the midst won 24-17 and will face a pac-12 team december 29 in san francisco in a bowl game. terps at home today honoring the maryland women's basketball
