person who stole a car with a 7- year-old inside. jennifer franciotti has the latest. this happened outside of a day care center. >> it happened as a father was taking one of his children into the day care. he left his 7-year-old son inside the car. police say the suspect took off with the child inside the car. there were able to find the child safe. the suspect did drop off the boy at a bus stop a few blocks from the day care. the child was not hurt. they are looking for the vehicle involved, a silver ford explorer. the day care owner says she is believed the child was found safe.

>> i was very happy to know that the child was safe. it is a little unnerving to know they still have not caught him. to know that someone was walking down the street -- it's very upsetting. >> i just hope they catch the person. >> they do not have a description of the suspect. they are looking for the vehicle. >> thank you. a child was found wandering the streets of northeast baltimore on thursday. this happened on belair road. the search for the child's parents continues. police say william campbell and kenyon waller targeted women waiting at bus stops in the city and county. >> your and women on their way

to school and into a public la andce they are assaulted -- into a public place and they are assaulted. >> as many as 11 women were attacked during the crime spree. a man repeatedly abused a girl. she told police he threatened to hurt her and her family if she told anyone. >> an arrest after a stabbing death. antonio johnson has been charged with the murder. simon was stabbed to death on monday afternoon. the search is on for suspects after a deadly shooting.

a man was shot and killed thursday afternoon. no word on what led to the violence. >> getting some high-profile help. jesse jackson led his hands. instead of spending money to lockup youth offenders, money will be better spent on programs to keep them out of trouble. >> we will not win on tuesday and lose on thursday. >> the new facility is necessary to improve the treatment of youth offenders. anthony batts was sworn in as the police commissioner. stephanie rawlings-blake administered the oath of office. he wasn't confirmed until just

an offer to plead guilty. attorneys for bradley manning said they would be willing to plea for a possible lesser charge. seven members of seal team 6 have been punished for their role in a new combat video-game. there recede forfeiture for half of their pay for participating in a video game -- they forfeited half of their pay for participating in a video game. >> walmart is opening its chains on 8:00 p.m. on thanksgiving day.

>> hi. a lot of folks will be watching this speech closely. for the second morning in a row, the markets were open after a slump as investors worry if lawmakers don't do something to avoid tax hikes and spending cuts. this afternoon, president obama will walk into the east room of the white house today to call on congress to work together. to figure how to handle the fiscal cliff. >> these folks and the president have to worry -- if they come out too sharp, they could create a deeper recession. >> that is the warning from the congressional budget office. the new report says a lengthy standoff could end with millions out of workthey believe the standoff could end with millions out of work and the unemployment rate at 9.1%. most lawmakers will not let it get to that. they will try to hammer out a deal when the new congress takes over capitol hill.

in the speech today, the president is expected to push for the bush-era tax cuts for everybody except the wealthiest americans. that is something republicans have promised to block. >> what kinds of decisions do democrats and americans have to make? >> they are looking at a number -- how much they are going to reduce the deficit savings. they have to figure out how much -- and then how to get there. the other part will be cuts. or will they come from -- where will they come from? >> hallie jackson, thank you. washington's power players are

figure out what the future holds. timothy geithner said he will not be back. the future of arab culture is in question -- the future of eric holder is still in question. >> the investigation continues after a seven-year old is kidnapped. we get the latest from jennifer franciotti at city police headquarters. >> good morning. this illustrates how fast something can go wrong. child was left in the car for only minutes. >> we were just waking up and we heard spinning wheels and thought that was odd. >> this woman lives next door to the children's our blessings from above in east baltimore.

she was home when police say a man left his 7-year-old son in the car with the engine running. he walked his other child into the home and take care. the boy was gone in just minutes when a stranger jumped into the car and took off. >> the suspect jumped in and fled the scene. >> the suspect dropped the child off a few blocks from the day care at hamilton avenue. investigators are not releasing any details between the time of the day care and the bus stop except that the child was not hurt. they are looking for a silver ford explorer. 828-m506 is the license plate number. the child care center is located in a house on a narrow, secluded street. the owner did come to the door and expressed relief that the child was found. >> i was very happy to know that the child was safe. it is a little unnerving to
