a very foggy picture as you travel east and westbound. take your time. 10 minutes to go south on 95 from the beltway south was to 32. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the search continues for the person who shot an off-duty police officer. >> kim dacey has the big story. >> police say they did get a call sunday morning for the report of a fight. they got the call for the report of the shooting 10 minutes later. they realize it was one of their own. an off-duty officer came upon a large group of people. he opened his window and asked them to move. someone from the crowd fired twice into the vehicle.

he was flown to shock trauma where he was treated and released. police are trying to get a good description of the suspect. >> investigators believe they had no idea he was a police officer. this police officer was not targeted. >> police are asking anyone with information to come forward. reporting live, kim dacey, wbal- tv 11 news. >> more than 600 cars were stopped at a checkpoint arresting six of those drivers. one was arrested for driving on a suspended license. theocracies and increase in drinking and driving cases between thanksgiving and the new year.

>> we had about 2500 driving under the influence arrests in baltimore county. they are putting themselves and the innocent people they're driving next to at risk. >> the office had about 86% conviction rate. >> there will be a news conference to address issues surrounding the speed camera programs. there was an independent test last week to check the accuracy of the cameras. three different vehicles were sent on repeated test runs. the officers were unable to recreate the reported errors.

accused of killing a teammate is out of jail this morning. police say josh brent was drunk behind the wheel when the crash his vehicle saturday morning. killed in the accident was jerry brown. josh brent has a prior arrest for dui. if convicted, he faces 2-20 years in prison. heavy snow is falling across parts of the midwest. road crews started friday by salting and sending the roads. difficult driving conditions were reported in minnesota. >> you might have another option when contacting 911 for an

baltimore county police officer. it happened early on sunday morning in overlea. kim dacey has the details. >> police say there was a party going on. there was a call that someone was shot, not knowing it was one of their own. >> i heard the gunshots school first and we look outside and saw a big group of people. >> all of the commotion was centered down the street in overlea. an off-duty baltimore county police officer had been shot twice while sitting in his car. he happens be driving down the street when he came across a large group of people in the road. >> a subject came out of the crowd with a handgun and fired
