bruises and don't match up with that story. >> a christmas morning shooting leaves one man dead in glen bernie. kim dacey joins us live with details. >> police said it happened around 6:00 a.m. yesterday when an intruder broke into the business on baltimore annapolis boulevard. and man was found shot to death in front of a place in glen bernie. they said the man broke into the store not knowing somebody was inside. that was the store's owner, jim butler. they got into an altercation inside the business and philip was eventually shot. philip eventually collapsed in the parking lot. he had been having difficulties

with people breaking into the stores and this time he happened to be there when it happened. philip had a vast criminal record including theft and various drug offenses. so far no charges have been filed in this case. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> there were two separate christmas day shootings. what happened on druid park lake drive. officers found a male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. no word as to a suspect or a possible motive. there's a shooting in west baltimore. and now was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body. no word this morning on his condition. we have an update on a

christmas eve double shooting in east baltimore. one of the victims has been identified. he was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital. a second victim walked into a local hospital with gunshot wounds to her stomach. she is expected to recover. >> president obama is cutting his vacation short. hallie jackson is live with the latest. it is not just the president returning tomorrow. >> congress is heading backed to washington tomorrow. any plan may come down to the wire. president obama spent part of his christmas greeting troops in hawaii.

it is cold enough that we could see snow at the airport. 36 downtown. 31 in westminster. normally the temperatures get colder as you get higher in the atmosphere. we have to watch out for that. here's a look at the forecast. mix inxpecting it wintry the mountains all day long. southern pennsylvania could also see an icy mix. 40 degrees around baltimore. rain into the afternoon. most of the accumulation will be in the mountains. they could see anywhere from 1-2

he was found shot to death. police say on tuesday morning he broke into the store not knowing that somebody was inside. that summit was identified as the store's owner, jim butler. police say the other and philip got into an altercation inside the business and that philip was eventually shot. he has been having difficulty with people breaking into the store, which police have responded to. this time somebody broke in and he was there. philip had a criminal record including theft and various drug offenses and court appearances for robbery and credit-card fraud. police say so far no charges

have been filed in this case. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> authorities have recovered human remains inside were a deadly trap was left for firefighters in new york. police believe the remains are cheryl spengler. her brother is accused of setting the fires and ambushing the first responders. there has been a typewritten note left by william spengler saying he wanted to burn down the neighborhood. the rifle used in the attack is the same type as the one used in the newtown elementary school shooting. >> officers from surrounding jurisdictions philbin so that every newtown police officer
