away from january 1, 2013. one of the hot spots to be tonight is the inner harbor. sarah samson joins us live from there. i assume the excitement is still building down there. >> absolutely. the crowds have been picking up over the last hour or so. there is lots of enthusiasm out here, with less than 60 minutes to go before downtown baltimore wellcome's 2013. whether they came by water or stay on land, according to organizers, tens of thousands are ringing in 2013 at the baltimore city and new year's spectacular. it is hard to miss the enthusiasm. >> this is my first time without my children. i could not be happier here. >> it is a huge economic boon for downtown.

clinton will spend her new year in hospital. her doctors are now saying the blood clot is located behind her right ear, between her brain and her skull. she will be treated with anti coagulants as doctors monitor our progress. the latest setback stems from a concussion she got earlier this month when she fainted, fell, and hit her head. doctors predict a full recovery. police have increased patrols and anne arundel county at a bar in glen burnie following the third homicide there in three years. last time around 5:30, a 30- year-old woman was shot to death outside a but tavern -- outside of a tavern. you have any information, your asked to contact anne arundel county police. the search is on for 20-year-old keef burley. he is considered armed and dangerous.

harford county police say he opened fire on his own sister during a family argument just before midnight saturday in edgewood. we are told that his sister was shot in the lower back but is expected to survive. burley is set to be 510 and 140 pounds. anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately. tiffany alston has yet to comment after a story that claimed she declared bankruptcy before running for her seat. the article says she is more than $182,000 in debt. she pled no contest earlier this year to using campaign money to pay for wedding expenses. a jury also found her guilty of using state money to pay an employee in her firm. in 2012, we experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly. a missed field goal ending the

killed two teenagers just before they headed back to college. the first day of school in baltimore county turned into a day of violence when a 16-roll student, robert gladden, fired a shotgun in the cafeteria. >> i just ran out. i didn't know what it was. >> the shot hit daniel borowy, a student with down syndrome. daniel was released and robert gladden was arrested. art modell palace -- passed away in early september. he was 87. an exciting call for orioles fans as the team made their first playoff run in 15 years. they were so close to the american league championship when they fell to the yankees in the final game of their series. the last few days of october, superstorm sandy pounded the east coast. ocean city was the hardest hit in our area.
