95 in great shape out of harford county, 65 miles per hour down to the white marsh area. both tunnels look good at this time. southbound traffic on 95 is starting to pick up. looking good so far on the b-w parkway. 65 on 97 through the glen burnie area. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> two people are dead following a house fire. the fire started in the 3000 block of montebello terrace around 11:30. even adults lived in the home including a pregnant woman. three people were taken to the hospital. officials would not confirm if any of the victims were pregnant.

>> we do not know what caused this fire. we're waiting to make entry to make some assessment into the cause of the fire. there were no sounds of any working smoke alarms. >> this is the first deadly fire of 2013. we knew this would happen eventually. >> ray lewis says he will retire at the end of the season. he told his teammates on wednesday and then announced to the media he will end his career after the ravens postseason run. ray knows better than to reflect on the past just a few days before a playoff game. >> that moment i walk out of

capitol to swear in the new senators. as for the incoming freshmen in the house, the speaker will be taking care of that duty. >> the makeup is notable for a number of reasons. we are seeing a number of first s. >> most women serving at the same time. more diversity in the senate. the first black gop senator in more than three decades will be sworn in today. the first hindu and a record high number of gays and lesbians including the first openly gay senator from wisconsin. also some young people. four incoming members were born in the 1980's.

>> president obama is aiming to work with congress on several of its own items. >> there is gun control ever since the shooting set sandy hook. joe biden has headed a task force. you may see some democrats work with the administration on this in pushing for a reinstatement of the assault ban. immigration is also a big topic. the president was elected with a diverse member. >> they wanted him to push for immigration reform in dealing with a complex immigration system. that is something the president seems likely to tackle.

27 in college park. i know this is what we typically experience this time of year. this is the first cold wave of the season. the kids will need to bundle up. the dew points are very low. it is dry across the area. this is not going to change anytime soon. right now you're stuck with dew point temperatures in the teens. we expect the skies to be mostly clear. calder up into pennsylvania. some places may hardly get above the freezing mark. into the 20's into garrett county. we are seeing a quiet pattern

super storm sandy relief will take place later this month. the house finished its term without voting on federal assistance for sandy victims. billick plan is out of a new york hospital this morning -- hillary clinton is out of a new york hospital this morning. she is making good progress on all fronts. sandy hook students and faculty will return to school at a new location. crews have been working since after the shooting refurbishing the school. we will have more on the move later this morning. >> starbucks will start selling new cops to help you recycle

business travelers. a big day for google. they are expected to resolve an estate trust probe. it will change some business practices and settle allegations misused patents. futures this morning are quiet and a little bit lower. there was a monster rally yesterday. the dow surging more than 300 points. about 62% of the u.s. is under a dry spell. analysts expect wheat prices to rise. that could mean more expensive groceries on the horizon. one store will remain open for a little while longer.

retirement on wednesday. jennifer franciotti it is live outside m&t bank stadium with a look at ray lewis's legacy. >> it was the first thing i thought about when i woke up this morning. you it was going to happen. but it still comes as a surprise. that is what fans and teammates are feeling. fans are letting this sink it. the idea this could be the last time he runs to the tunnel on sunday is something every ravens fan will want to see. whether you're at home or hear on the stadium on sunday. the monster hits and the dance. ray lewis announced on wednesday it will be part of ravens history. >> the tradition of him coming out of the tunnel every sunday.

>> welcome back to 11 news today. 6:44. there is a late-night deadly house fire in northeast baltimore. the bodies of two victims were found inside the home. five others were able to escape. three were taken to the hospital. this is the first deadly fire of 2013. there was a shooting in west baltimore. a man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. the victim was taken to a hospital. the shooting is still under investigation. >> for the first time since the

deadly shootings, students and teachers who survived the attack will be back in class. jay gray has more. >> a fresh blanket of snow covers the ground. ensign has been pulled from its hinges. this morning there will be school again. >> i think it is going to be hard. >> most everything has been difficult. today in a new building survivors will be together again. >> they want to see their teachers in the back into their routine. bags been put back in the same place. the sign outside has been changed.

jennifer franciotti is live with more on his legacy. were you surprised? >> i think no one was surprised he would retire considering how long he has been with the ravens. e as a surprise. 17 years, an amazing ride with the nfl. ray said a yesterday that the emotion will be felt by every fan. 52 jersey is theerse biggest seller. he is a great motivational speaker. he has done and not for charity. his son will be playing at the university of miami.
