sports fans will be watching the game with heavy hearts. we begin with sad news, former orioles manager has passed away. the 82-year-old was on a orioles cruise at the time of his death. he is being remembered as a great coach who led the orioles to four american league pen napts and a world series. we have a look backal earth wave's life and legacy. >> when baltimorians think of the silver haired earl, we think of intensity and longevity. the earl of baltimore, beloved like a son of the city. he was st. louis born in 1930 but spent his entire career in baltimore. the ball club was his.

under the earl the orioles won six a.l.c. titles, anding of course the world serieses in 1970. he won 1,480 games. when he was inducted in the hall of game in 1996, he was acknowledged for his inintegrity and wit. pitching, defense, and the three-run homer you were his hallmarks been but close your eyes and think of earl and surely you see his hat on backyards, his face full of fire. our earl of baltimore. he said on my tom stone write the sorest loser that has ever lived. one who will be sorely missed.

you like history, the burial ground along the freedom trail is a must stop. along the freedom trail very much to see. on the boston harbor a familiar sight. this is the u.s.s. constitution. it marks the early settling of the city back in 1630. pure fun across the street, an ice rink sits in the shadows of the massachusetts state house. you can see where the la alternatives were hung for the midnight ride of paul a veer where the decision was made to host the boston tea party. the burial ground is in the middle of downtown boston, only 2,000 vizzable gravestones. >> i often spend a significant portion of my tours here at the burial ground because so many famous american patriots are buried here. >> john hancock was the first

>> new tonight baltimore city police officer is arrested while off-duty. police were called to the rec room in the 500 block of york road. that's where they found 28-year-old matthew daugherty intoxicated. he pointed his weapon at two other people in the parking lot. internal affairs is investigating. we have a quick check of the weather. i needed my sunglasses today. >> temperatures were very nice. they are not going to last. we'll talk about it.

a little clipper moving out of the range of radar and new one coming in. there are several more sitting out there, each one brings in a little more cold air. we were nice today. we'll be ok tomorrow. then we go downhill. you can see that here on this graph. we've been bouncing around all week long. this is the past week and beyond this line is the coming week. this is the normal line for the high temperatures. here's our spike today. here's tomorrow. then downhill we go temperaturewise. our temperatures right now, 45 in annapolis. on the boardwalk it is 43. fredericks 48. even in the 40's in the mountains to the west. here are the clear sties associated with the disturbance up north. there's a front up there, somewhat stalled and along that is where all these disturbances are running, at least for the time being. now, here's the one that went

north of us overnight last night. here's the one that is coming, it has a little more kick to it. when the front comes through and that will be during the nighttime on monday. that will bring a little more cold air in introducing more winter-like conditions. you can see more out of the west. here's the jet stream, it is riding kind of low and the coldest air is behind this boundary up in the great lakes. each one of these disturbances are going to pull the cold air a little farther south so we're going work into colder air once we get past the weekend. you can see the intensely cold air around hudson bay. the cold air has moved to the eastern part of canada. so we're set up to go into the deep freeze here. tonight it won't be too bad, at or above freezing 29 to 35 with mostly clear skies. the sun set was about as early

as it gets. we're going to see longer days here. southwest winds at 2 to 7 miles an hour. tomorrow, still nice, above the afternoon for the season, 45 to 50 but not as warm as it was today. then we have a breeze too, gusting to 25 miles an hour. so small advisories out on the bay. winds become northwest gusting to 25 with a two to three foot chop on the open waters of the bay. futurecast shows these little disturbances moving to the north of us but each one coming closer and eventually in addition to the cold air we pick up a chance for snow showers. tomorrow dry, breezy, 48 for the high. monday snow showers with a little clipper coming in high only 37. windy and cold on tuesday high of 27. same on wednesday but we start out at 11 degrees.
