good morning. i am stan stovall. ldwell. sarah call whi >> we have some school closings to tell you because of power outages from the storm. it came down very hard last night. >> anywhere from 1-4 inches of rain. when it is in the 60's in january, you know something is going to give. right now it is dry around baltimore. there is some rain east of town. 52 at the airport. the temperatures are going to continue to drop. slowly falling temperatures and it will be windy, 30-35 miles per hour.

o'donnell street. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the fight over the future of john leopold. the judge is expected to set a sentencing date today. >> the council is taking steps to have leopold forced from office. >> the council gathered yesterday to begin the process of removing leopold from office. he was convicted on two counts of misconduct. the council resolution that would oust leopold passed easily yesterday. the county attorney says removing him so soon may be illegal. his opinion centers around the word "conviction.' >> they have no authority to remove any official convicted of

a crime until the conviction is a matter of record, until the conviction is final. maryland law is very clear. the conviction becomes a matter of record at the time of sentencing. >> the judge is expected to set the sentencing date. his conviction and never become final. sarah sampson, wbal-tv 11 news. >> testimony resumes in the murder trial for michael johnson. he is accused of killing phylicia barnes. an inmate said johnson confessed to killing her. a coroner admitted her decision was made by default because there was no other obvious explanation. >> the governor delivered the annual state of the state address yesterday.

>> the council gathered yesterday to begin the process of removing leopold from office. the county attorney says that might not be illegal. the county council began the process that would remove john leopold from office for good. he was found guilty on two charges of misconduct in office. >> he has been found guilty of a crime. >> the county attorney told reporters he believes the move is premature and illegal. that opinion centers around the word "conviction." >> they have no authority to remove any official convicted of a crime until the conviction is a matter of record, until the conviction is final. maryland law is very clear. the conviction becomes a matter of record at the time of sentencing. >> this seems to be an organ
