it will be rain, however, into kentucky and parts of tennessee. and then eventually we'll see this track across the northeast coast. any snow looks minor at this point. a one to three inch range from say northern virginia all the way up into boston. temperatures later today will be in the upper 40s. it's not until late in the evening that temperatures start to drop. and of course we have a chance for some snow coming in by saturday. this is where the snow will likely impact the i-95 corridor as this pushes farther east. that's new york up to boston again. looking mostly at your saturday forecast there. and a few snowshowers up around the lakes. looking quiet through the middle of the country. and the southeast starting to dry out. we'll even see the showers dry up across southern florida. and temperatures will start to come down. so this big trough allows the cold air to stay here across the great lakes and then to seep into parts of the south. and those overnight lows will be below freezing for many a southeastern locations, even down into northern florida we'll be get into the chill.
