now when that date in the barns in case -- convicted killer michael johnson, his attorneys have filed a motion seeking a new trial, prosecutors withheld information about one of their key witnesses. he testified johnson called him the day of the debt and showed him her body and convince -- confessed to choking her to death. johnson's attorneys say they made improper statements to the jury. the hearing may be scheduled on the motion. new details are emerging about a deadly triple shooting last night in baltimore county that happened just before midnight on eastern boulevard. detectives say the three victims, one woman and to bend, where near the bus stop when shots were fired. one of the man was fatally struck. police are trying to determine whether this was a random are targeted attack. there could also be more than

johns hopkins officials confirmed that the gynecologist had been fired 10 days before his death for inappropriately photographic and video taping his patients during appointments. 11 news spoke to a few patients on the phone who did not want to go on camera. they say they thought he was a good doctor and would never suspect he was capable they were a crime. >> and the victim of this crime and malpractice has a legitimate cause of action against the doctor and against hopkins as well. >> the attorney deals with medical malpractice laws says his office has dealt with similar cases over the years where physicians have crossed the line and taken inappropriate pictures and videos of their patients. cases is that it is difficult to prove the doctor, in this case was acting in the scope or definition of his employment. >> the question is, when he set up a device to record a patient

breaking news right now out -- out of anne arundel county. >> we have been here for about 20 minutes. one bus has left the scene and we had a van in the process of being towed. shortly after 4:00 at freetown and mountain road, there was a crash between a school bus and a van. we understand two people were only injured with minor injuries. police are investigating the accident at this location and there is no traffic impact at this time. >> new details tonight about the condition of a police trainee who was shot and wounded by police instructor.

the police installed a new commander to get some training back on line. let's go live to police headquarters for more on the story. >> we are in the newsroom tonight. the commissioner confirmed today his own police driver was at the rosewood center when the shooting happened, but he was unaware the center was being used. the city's police commissioner described the trainee who was shot last week as a one-time high school linebacker whose toughness is paying off. >> the doctors have said to me he is progressing better than what they expected, however this is going to be a long road. when you have the type of injuries he has sustained, you can never be too sure. >> according to sources, a police instructor was trying to scare off trainees from peeking through a window at the old rosewood state hospital during training last tuesday. he mistakenly used his service weapon and said of his training weapon and fired live round through the window, hitting the

breaking down and sobbing into his hands, especially when the attorney read his statement of what happened early valentine's day mourning. he says he woke up in the middle of the night and not his way back and he said he heard a noise and realized someone was in his bathroom and he believed his girlfriend was still in the bed. he described a wave of terror rushing toward him and he didn't and his prosthetic leg on felt threatened. he said he grabbed a 9 millimeter pistol and screamed at who was in his bathroom to get out of his house. city fired through the bathroom door realizing too late his girlfriend was not in the bed. he said he broke through the door to get her and called and tried to get her to a hospital but she died in his arms. prosecutors do not believe the story. they say why would a burglar lock themselves a new bathroom?

>> fire crews battled a stubborn fire this morning. prince george's crews or responded to this fire at about 5:00 this morning. it took 35 firefighters nearly an hour to bring it under control. meanwhile the investigation continues into the cause of a two-alarm fire in glen bernie. we brought it to you as breaking news last night. crews were forced to fight the blaze is due to unsafe conditions inside.

all but the firefighters battled a blaze and said the vacant two- story building. the buildings suffered an estimated $10,000 in damage. the world health organization is playing close attention to a mysterious and dangerous new virus we told you about last week. it has infected at least a dozen people, six of them have died. the latest fatality in england was confirmed today by british health officials. the virus was identified last year in the middle east. most of those infected had traveled to their region. symptoms include acute respiratory infection, fever and cough. others suffered kidney failure. we may think shingles is a disease in older people can get but cases of the virus are exploding across all age groups. shingles is a very painful skin rashes caused by the same virus responsible for chickenpox. you can only get shingles if you have had chicken pox.

police are still hoping for a break in the case of a man stabbed saturday at the university of maryland's eastern shore. >> this is another high profile crime case that has baffled state police. let's go live to the newsroom for more on how the law enforcement community is reacting. >> for the second time in less than a week, university of maryland student has been killed while on campus and the other off campus. they're calling a lot of public safety across the state to take a look at emergency plans. state police say st. clair was stabbed to death after what appeared to be the result of an argument or ongoing dispute. it follows the death of a college park student who was apparently killed by a roommate in an off-campus home before the shooting occurred a gun on himself. >> we are very fortunate here that we have not have one, extremely fortunate. >> , did state director was a
