>> good evening. tonight, we are getting a firsthand account of the jury deliberations of michael johnson. >> he was accused of murdering a woman and it tore apart two families. >> one juror says he is surprised by the recent actions of his attorney -- of johnson's juries can request michael johnson is facing up to 30 years of prison. his attorneys are asking for a new trial. one of the jurors told me he was compelled to speak out. >> jurors listened to the evidence and testimony. for several days before coming back with a unanimous verdict of second degree murder. juror number seven said tape recorded conversations between johnson and family members weighed heavily on his decision

to convict. >> he did not act like he was remorseful. all he talked about was the consequences behind everything. talk about how much time you would get for first-degree murder. >> johnson is the ex-boyfriend of his sister. jurors saw a sexually explicit videos between johnson and his sister. he explained why the jurors did not -- he did not mean to do it, but it -- >>he did not mean to do it, but it was an accident.

he just freaked. he did not know what to do. >> the juror says he is speaking out about the case because of johnson's motion for a new trial. a large part of the argument was focused on their star witness. and whether or not the prosecution tried to bolster the jurors. johnson confessed to him and ask him how to get rid of the body. >> it was not about it. if it were not for the fact he was going to have these conversations saying everything he said and this attitude, and he would not have gotten convicted. hearing could take place between the next 10 days. isnson's sentencing scheduled for march 20. reporting live, the wbal. >> thank you. police have revealed how they believe a former johns hopkins gynaecologist secretly photographed his patients. he used five devices, including -- spy devices, including a pennsylvania camera, to take -- a pen camera, to take the

pictures of patients without their knowledge. how authorities say they found more than a half-dozen service full of pictures and videos, hundreds of potential victims have apparently already come floor. -- come forward. this comes as one local law firm plans to seek damages for its clients. >> he is an excellent physician. his patients like him. it is all shocking. >> the man took his life 10 days after hopkins fired him. >> the -- the police department had no authority to use a facility for training. a police instructor mistakenly grabbed the wrong weapon during a training exercise. the city was at the site of a former rosewood center without

fighting over where she should live and who makes that choice. >> don't you dare tell me where virginia needs to live. >> mary is her legal guardian. she met her and then became a companion to her father. he has fought -- died, but his daughter who was born healthy became severely disabled has 18 -- as a teenager back in 1961. when that institution closed in 1996, virginia was part of the massive wave of individuals who were de institutionalized. she was moved to this home. a dramatic shift in care, not embraced by all, including virginia pauses father. while others celebrated. >> what do you like about living here? >> more freedom. >> mary says, in virginia paz's case, that freedom has come with

a price. she has long challenge the availability of medical services, staff training, saying virginia needs more. she has complained persistently. >> your goal is to get her back into an institutional setting? >> right. institutions have changed. we are not looking at the snake pits of the 1940's. >> it seems like the last thing the state wants is to send someone back. is that correct? >> we feel everyone can be served in a community with the appropriate course. >> everybody? >> yes. >> muybridge -- my greatest concern is that we will miss some diagnosis that will cause her insufferable pain, because she cannot tell us where it hurts. >> even though mary serves as guardian, the issue of where virginia lives gets thorny.

to protect the rights of the disabled, there are strict admissions requirements for institutions. the burden is on the guardian to prove virginia cannot be served in the facility. in this case, it took a serious injury before things began to really change. >> on a september outing, state investigators discovered virginia was improperly loaded on a wheelchair lift in a van and it resulted in a severe injury to her toe. she underwent surgery so she would not lose it. >> this accident was very serious and unfortunate. we feel terrible it happen to wear. >> who runs the group's home says the incident is no reason to turn back the clock when it comes to caring for virginia. >> i have known virginia for 16 years. i think we have done a really good job supporting her. i have worked my entire career, 35 years in the field, to help

close down institutions. >> while the team was investigating this case, and three months after virginia's injury, the state which had been working with mary finally approved her request to move virginia to a state residential center. the director cited the serious injury to virginia as one of the factors he considered. while statistics are not available, authorities to say this kind of move among the developmentally disabled is extremely rare. nearly one month later, we've visited virginia and mary in a holiday center in salt creek, one of two state-run institutions left in maryland, and close to her home. has 24-hour nursing, and infirmary, and a physician on the premises. >> this is where she will get the best care. >> mary believes the story of virginia raises tough questions about care for those with no voice at all.
