baltimore. team coverager with kim dacey. what is being done to keep fans safe? the orioles start a nine-game homestand tonight. fans can expect extra security after the explosions in boston. the game will be baltimore's biggest public gathering following the boston marathon. some security measures will be obvious but some will be going on behind the scenes. 11 news has learned local police departments and state police are cooperating to evaluate other events taking place. there have been no specific threats to the area. police commissioner anthony batts elevated the security awareness in the city. you'll notice more men and women in uniform. >> we will see, as the squad officers in full gear will be in

as the sun comes up, we're seeing more traffic in this area. the governor has asked people to avoid this area. you can really noticed the security. there are several hotels and i concede police officers in front of them. the hardest part was to stand at a barricade as people were begging and asking to get by, looking for loved ones. chan an emotional day for people .ere -- such an emotional day >> let's go back to the investigation. are confirminge they are speaking was somebody but not categorizing that person as a suspect.
