the people are rushed to hospital after gunfire erupts in northwest baltimore. the victims were found on north hilton street. it is believed all three were shot on clifton avenue. detectives are investigating a series shooting in east baltimore. the victim was found just before 10:00 p.m. last night. no word on suspects or motives in either of these incidents. >> a proposed increase in the water rate. >> jennifer franciotti joins us live from city hall with more. >> the department of public works asking for a5% increase in water and sewer rates.

now when audit has revealed some significant decisions within the department. and also how city agencies are handling dollars. the city had to pay nearly a million dollars to reevaluate the finances. ifn water rates could rise there is approval for the increase. the comptroller questioned a need for such a jump. >> i have conrns about the double-digit increase. klein have concerns about the department of public works wanting to implement this over a three-year period rather than looking this for each individual. >> a public hearing has been scheduled for june 26. if approved, the rate will go into effect on july 1. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news.

investigation leads authorities to break up a massive drug-running scheme. authorities arrested 15 people and seized 20 guns and $140,000 in cash. cocksure of the suspect would travel every other month to purchase large quantities of marijuana to sell in maryland. a burglary in hanover. it's a place late friday and into saturday morning. the victims were sleeping when the burglars broke in. there were three other burglaries that happened that same morning. >> i never heard of any burglaries in this area.
