department of audits, costing baltimore $1 million extra. , officialseantime and anne arundel county are considering raising their these. they are asking for a five percent increase in water and sewer rates. that would translate to an additional $.15 per every 1000 gallons of water used. the money raised would help pay for operational costs to maintain the water and ser system. the last rate hike was january of last year. maryland residents should also atrepaired to pay more stake tollbooths. tolls will increase for e second time in 18 months in september. it is part of a forure to raise funds highway maintenance projects. those traveling on jade of -- jfk and behavior bridge will be paying two dollars more.

tolls for the key bridge, fort mchenry tunnel, and harbor tunnel go up from three dollars to four dollars. a maryland state trooper is in serious condition at shock trauma after making an off duty stock. officials believe the trooper was traveling in the area of 7th street and market streets last night. he obsved several juveniles who appeared to involved in some type of vandalism. while the trooper approached, the driver sped off, dragging the trooper and fleeing the scene. on further investigation, it appears that the teens were moving trash cans from the roway when they were startled by the trooper. we do not know the injured trooper's name, but we are told he is an eight year veteran assigned to the eastern derek --easton barrack. still to come, we have your pet
