cedric the entertainer. dane cook's the lead. stacy keach. this was an all-star cast. >> everybody but us was in that movie. >> let's move on to percy jackson's "sea of monsters." that's in theaters right now. >> so percy jackson is a modern-day perseus. it's a mythology story. he and his team of demigods go out in a quest to save the world. it's a perfect movie for tweens. kids really appreciate it. sixth grade, seventh grade. they're learning mythology. my daughter was like, if i had seen this, i would have aced my mythology test. >> it's pg-13, right? >> it's pg. the cgi is intense for littler kids. the idea is 8 to 14. >> is it based on a book? is that right? >> a series of books. >> okay. >> and it's in 3-d, which is cool. >> i saw the first one and then, you know, i started reading. because i probably want to get the nine-book series for my kids. you know. by rick riordan. so i'm excited to read those. >> let's talk grown-ups. >> the matt damon movie.

what's this matt damon movie? i've never heard anything about it. >> "elysium." it's great for date night. i took my husband. i had no expectations. it looks cheesy. it's a sci-fi thriller with a message. right? but it's so good. it's so very good. it basically takes place in 2154, and the earth is diseased, it's pollute the. so all the rich people, they create their own planet called elysium and there nobody gets sick. they just sort of speak french and drink champagne all day. and so all of the earthlings try to always go there like immigration, actually, because everything is better there. so it has -- >> there's got to be something wrong. something's rotten in elysium. >> spoiler alert. >> jodie foster is what's wrong. she's a villain. >> she's in it? >> yes. >> she's a female villain and she's really good. >> really? >> very evil. >> what age is this for? >> you know, it's definitely date night. it's older because there is some gore. the director that did "district 9." they're kind of known for this. but it has a heart-wrenching story. robin over here cried.

of my various careers and how you profit from them. in the end, this is cramerica! ♪ in short, i am going to give you the invest to cramer guide book, how i learned to be a good investor and how i continue to learn every day so i can help you become better than i've ever been or ever will be. that is the goal of "mad money." let's start real early. my love of stocks didn't begin after law school or college or even high school. my love of stocks started back in fourth grade. my dad would bring home the old philadelphia bulletin, at that point, one of the largest newspapers in the country. a great afternoon paper. that was when he returned from work every night. i wanted it for the comics and sports. i was a ridiculous phillies fan back then. i would have made it so i was a yankee fan. we were only 89 miles south of new york. no one would choose to affiliate with the most losses in sports history.

i was a curious kid, though. curiosity has always been a blessing and a curse of mine. not unlike that of a cat that's always probing, occasionally jumping on a couple hot stoves. there was always this solid chunk of the paper that seemed impenetrable to me. called the business section. it had these giant lists of names and agate type that seemed to go on forever. they were the other tables. different from the batting average tables and box scores i would scrutinize with regularity. when you read them from left to right, they made no sense to me at all. open, range, close. what open? what range? what close? what were these strange things and why did they matter? i asked my dad, who i know dabbled in the stock market. occasionally i would hear him get mad when he heard prices mentioned on the radio. he always seemed angry when i heard something called national video. >> boo! >> and how national video went out. i didn't know what national video did or why it went out. i didn't know if it popped it
