sets, temperatures drop quickly. we see scattered showers around maryland. the thickest clouds are toward garrett county. there is an area of low pressure producing a lot of showers to my anywhere from the tail end of virginia, all the way down into south carolina, and they migrate to the east. we will not really be getting any of this precipitation. we will have to wait until the end of the weekend before we have a chance for any of that rain. we are seeing scattered house in place for the rest of the afternoon. this afternoon, toward the end of the commute, it stays dry. going into tomorrow, just scattered clouds in place. they could clear out a little bit into the afternoon. friday, we are still talking about dry weather. in general, high pressure is still the dominant weather feature.

tonight, we dropped down into the mid-50's downtown, upper- 40's in some of the northern suburbs. we start to see the sunset below -- before 7:00 p.m. tomorrow, and made 70's. clausen the morning. variable -- clouds in the morning. variable wind. high pressure has kept us mostly dry. the low pressure will try to move up the coast. we have a cold front to the west. these will be competing to see who can give us a little bit of rain going into the weekend. futurecast will show high pressure in control throughout friday. saturday into sunday, an area of low pressure is forming off of the coast. for now, we are in the clear in terms of heavy precipitation. this stays off the coast, moves toward new england. that can change. the front may move quicker. we could get the ring sooner
