back with more of today's take. a crazy, horrifying story that took place here in new york over the weekend. the cover of the new york post, motor psychos. a man was out for a drive on sunday with his wife, his 2-year-old child and was chased down by a group of motorcyclists. pulled out of the car. >> they slashed his tire. >> slashed him. he was beaten. this is from a camera mounted on the helmet of a motorcycle rider posted on youtube. two dozen motorcycles surround the range rover. they were in town for the hollywood stunts rally.

a loosely organized event and things got ugly. police say he called 911. he had run over, basically, one of the motorcyclists. >> right. >> as he was trying to drive away to protect his family. of course you do what anyone would do which is get away for the situation. he did drive over a motorcyclist. that motorcyclist has been identified and they have a lot more people they're looking for right now. there's surveillance cameras so you better believe they're going to be on top of this. >> and the event was that he by mistake bumped one of them or they were already surrounding them? >> he was in a pack of them and hit one when trying to get out and he accelerated to get away from them. then they surrounded him. >> you've got your kid in the car. a 2-year-old child. >> i would gun it. >> i would too. >> he guns it right there. >> what's not normal necessarily

damage -- i just fixed a whole wall because of water damage. >> did you need this. >> where were you? oh, you were busy with your little show. >> i was renovating ten other houses. take a look at the line behind your washing machine. turn the water off. if any of these are old or frayed replace them. upgrade to one of these. this is a steel braided line which is stronger and warrantied for longer. turn on a faucet on something nearby so the water drains so you don't cause your own water damage while you're fixing it. >> that would not be good. >> this is the over wattage situation. >> your lights don't have the wattage situations for fun. they want you to do that so you're safe. your regular bulb is really inefficient number one. you have your cfls and leds and halogen lamps. how much energy it uses has

[applause] michael: and why is that? kelly: because my friend, cher, is here. [laughter] [cheers and applause] i've got to get it out of my system now. because the last time cher was here, i did my cher impersonation for cher and she looked at me and said whis that? bill clinton? and i was like yes, i'm doing bill clinton. bill clinton singing. michael: it is a little clinton-esque. kelly: i can't help it. i don't know how bill got in there. and more importantly, theresa caputo is backstage right now.

[applause] cher is also obsessed. cher is also obsessed with theresa. michael: my friends now are here who never come to the show. kelly: famous friends. michael: yeah. and they never come to the show. one, being my trainer, la's here. and la never -- she comes to the show occasionally but this morning, i was like she's like who's on? and i'm telling cher and that's toa. -- theresa. and oh, done you need that at the office? because i had a package. yeah, i'll take it. no, i'll bring it for you. kelly: yeah. michael: so she brought the package and she's sticking around to see theresa. and i went to dinner with olivia munn and her boyfriend, joe, and we were talking and she was talking to me -- i said theresa and she starts jumping in the restaurant and we had had to apologize to the table next to her like she does dust that for

us. and she came in early this morning. everybody loves theresa as we do. and on the way out, theresa looked at me and said "have a great show. knock them dead!"
