tonight. after a roof collapsed. keith daniels is live at the scene tonight. with the story. keith? >> well, karen, live at the rosemont gardens apartments in the 2400 block of winchester street. tough to see now but a blue tarp covers the roof, part of the roof, of the building tonight. people that live in the top floor units, in building 2402. are cleaning up and drying out. parts of the ceilings, in at least six units, have fallen. residents say they are not surprised. they say with each rain the roof leaks. they have been complaining to management since april. but no repairs. with the steady rain today, roof on two units on the fourth floor, collapsed. and they be like a domino affect each ceiling below falling. one neighbor had a awakening at 5:00. >> you heard boom. and i am like, my neighbor from downstairs came up. and asked me had i ran my

bathtub or my toilet flooded or something because his ceiling was leaking, and i am like mine too. >> well, there is no word from management tonight. they did not return our calls, but those hardest hit said they were told that they would be put in other apartments. temporarily, until the repairs are made. live in west baltimore. keith daniels, fox 45 news "late edition". >> all right. thank you, keith. >> heavy rains today prompted flood warnings in some areas. how are things looking out there right now in jessica starr has the first alert sky watch forecast. >> the rain is slowly starting to taper off from the coastal low system that moved in here and dropped over a inch and a half of rain at bwi thurgood marshall airport today. there it is. you can see the counter-clockwise rotation. weakening and pushing out of the area. and we will start to deal with the remnants television for the daytime tomorrow. temperatures, it was a little bit he have a chilly start out there, and chilly temperatures out there. 62 degrees at airport.

workers apparently helping people cheat on taxes. tape released yesterday caught workers at a baltimore acorn office showing people how to claim taxes on illegal activities like prostitution. acorn said it was an isolated incident but toed the filmmaker released a new similar tape. this one in a dc acorn office. >> taxpayers are just upset. the stimulus package had granted them the ability to get billons of dollars of taxpayer money. and that's not stimulating the economy. >> the employees involved in baltimore and dc offices fired. and acorn said it has no plans to pursue the new stimulus dollars, it is now eligible to compete for. >> and that brings us to the question of the day. should the fired acorn workers also face criminal charges? so far 87 percent say yes. and 13 percent say no. steven from parkville writes, what happened, even though disgusting, and i can perverted.

the so-called hold, in obama's speech. >> i was there for eight years. the fact of it is there is a lot of junior high behavior that goes on on both sides of the aisle. >> the fact of it is, he was wrong. dead wrong. it was not a classy thing to do. he should have, in my view, made a more concrete apology. secondly, if you care about the defeating the this bill, which he does. and i do. and you think it is a bad bill and you prefer alternatives. you do not see the moral high ground on any issue to the opposition. that's what he did. now, nancy pelosi, harry reed can run around with disrespect to the president for that issue. and there is no excuse for that type of behavior. no excuse for the democrats, for the way they treated bush. no excuse for this the other night. no respect. and done political. wrong morally and politically.

officially makes the way out of our area. so here is the state rainfall totals for the daytime for today. over an inch and a half reported at bwi thurgood marshall airport but look over toward dover. close to 3 inches of rain reported. the delmarva peninsula got hit hard from the coastal low that really moved in our area. for the daytime for today. brought some heavy rain showers, and the strong winds out of the northwest today. gusting up to 30 miles an hour. right now, they are right at 12. in d.c. 8 miles an hour in baltimore. and 9 miles an hour in dover. so on the future scan model. there is the coastal low that is slowly moving out of our area. but the future scan model is still picking up a chance, slight chance tomorrow afternoon, of a light rain showers in the vicinity toward north. toward mason dixon line. pennsylvania and toward baltimore. and as the coastal low makes the way back out to the atlantic. high pressure system is going to build in here nicely for the daytime on sunday.

police found the cat wednesday. you recall we had it right here on fox 45 news at 10:00. in the 2600 block of wilkens avenue. witnesses saw several boys holding the kitten by the tail and throwing it. miracle suffered a broken jaw as a result. and doctors say he should recover. it was successful. you can see that he is recovered from it. he is little groggy from the pain medicine. but it was successful and complete a complete recovery. >> police are still offering the $1000 reward for any information whatsoever that leads to an arrest. >> get this. what burning this boogeyman means for you. >> all right. i am interested in finding out what that is about. >> ravens open up the season at
