neighborhood. myranda stephens is live in northeast baltimore, with the story, you are seeing first on fox. myranda? >>well, karen, i am here along mclane boulevard where speeding drivers and that small hill you see behind me, is making this road dangerous. they say cars flyover the hill, but many drivers don't see the parked cars ahead. and often end up hitting the cars, and then driving away. it is a problem so bad, many residents are now parking their cars partially on the sidewalk. just as a precaution. >> in six years, i have seen, at least four cars totaled on this side street. >> no place to park here without being afraid of people running into the cars. >> and some residents say that they have complain to the city to get something done. they would like speed bumps or flashing lights added to the street. because of the holiday, though, no one from the city was

available for comment. but we hope to get some answer os monday. live in northeast baltimore, myranda myranda stephens, fox 45 news "late edition". >> testimony continues in the attempted murder trial of lamont davis. he is accused of shooting two people last july. the most seriously injured was a 5-year-old girl. but a 17-year-old that was also shot, took the stand today. he watched footage of the shooting captured by a blue light camera for the very first time. while he told jurors he saw the person that shot him. he never identified lamont davis as the gunman. we talked with a teen's lawyer, after his client testified. >> are there safety concerns regarding your client at this point and his testimony in this case? >> it is always a dangerous situation to be in. he has been shot. called to testify against the person that the state believes did the shooting. and he has to go back and live in that neighborhood. so always a concern about that. >> one state witness did

identify lamont davis as the person that shot, not only the 17-year-old, but also 5-year-old raven wyatt. in open court. the juvenile witness reluctantly pointed to lamont davis when the prosecutor asked if she saw the shooter. >> in baltimore county today a woman was convicted of beating a noon death. prosecutors say 34-year-old shamari crawford and another man beat frank sterling last june. sterling died several hours later at sinai hospital. crawford will be sentenceed in may. >> baltimore county police have announced a reward for information regarding a missing woman. 24-year-old cherice ragins has not been seen since february 21. police say her boyfriend was the last person to see her in catonsville. a search team of police cadets have been combing the area looking for clues. >> they don't want to hear what the demise could be. of their daughter, of their

family member. but at the same time, you know, we want to find her and give them justice. not only just justice but some relief. >> metro crime stoppers has increased the reward to $4500. anyone with information is asked to call baltimore county police, at (410)307-2020. >> police in baltimore county are also looking for a gunman that shot a man this afternoon. it happened around 1:30 today in the 800 block of old north point road. police say the victim and shooter were walking together, when the man opened fire. the victim was taken to johns hopkins bayview. no word on the condition. police do not have a motive for the shooting. >> a frederick county man has been arrested after investigators say he alluded officers and caused a serious accident. police tried to pull over chad abshire last night and he sped away. police broke off the chase when

speeds topped 80 miles per hour. abshire then crashed into another car and kept on going. police arrested him today. he is being held on an $85,000 bail. the driver of the car, he crashed into, was not seriously hurt. >> the circus comes to town next week but not everyone is happy. a woman wearing nothing but tiger stripes spent time in the inner harbour. part of a peta protest with the message that animals do not belong behind bars. they are trying to get the message out, days before the ringling brothers circus rolls into town. >> we hope people visit our website watch it is undercover footage of animals being abused behind the scenes at the circus. and boycott the circus when they come to town next week. >> peta said the footage on the website was given to them by a former ringling brothers animal trainer. >> at least one baltimore

councilman is demanding an audit of the city's recreation and parks department. the demand comes as the city prepares to cut the department's budget by a third. and shut down several recreation centers. councilman carl stokes is questioning the agency's use of capital funds. and is demanding an audit. >> we already know money is tight in that department. we want it out. we want it taken care of the pools this summer. we want it taking care of our recommend centers. and most importantly, we want it taking care of our young people. >> the mayor's own transition report released last week, cited a lack of transparency at the department. a spokesman said the mayor is addressing the issue. >> and it is our duty to hold elected officials accountable. you can do that by joining our fox 45 waste watch. if you have a story about government waste, call our hotline at (410)662-1456.

least two states beefed up security. even though they say they are not overly worry. louisiana governor bobby jindal got letter but the spokesman in baton rouge said it is not a credible threat to the governor or the people of louisiana. michigan governor jennifer gram holm got it five days ago, which renders the three day deadline meaningless. fbi warned the governors they were coming and advised staffers not to open them but turn them over to police immediately. official down played the threat. >> we obviously look at the things to determine if there is actually a threat contained in the letter. and in this case, it does not appear to be a threat. and it is more of an expression, really of first amendment rights. >> letters came from anti-government group called guardians of the free republics. which on the website advocates peacefully altering the government doing away with

taxes, foreclosures and driver's licenses among other things. while the self proclaimed guardians do not profess violence, fbi worries it could encourage others to act. >> governor o'malley said he has not received one of those letters. >> one poll showed a new low for president obama's approval rating. according to a cbs news poll, overall job approval stands at 44 percent. that's down five points from late march. just before health care reform passed. 41 percent say, they disapprove the same as last month. and 15 percent say they don't know. that's up five points from last month. >> and that brings us to the question of the day. do you approve of the job

woods. this time it is kindergarten teacher. she said that tiger lied about an alleged racial attack he experienced in her classroom, when he was five years old. she said his parents never reported it. and she has hired all powered attorney gloria al red to demand an apology. she has suffered migraines and high blood pressure as a result of the comments. she has not filed an official lawsuit yet. >> a growing trend in the workplace. men filing sexual harassment claims against other men. the eeoc said the overwhelming majority of cases are men harassing women. there are reports of women harassing men. but very rarely. yet, over the past 20 years ago the number of men claiming they were victimized by other men, has doubled. from eight to 6 percent of all cases filed. roughly that's 2000 a year. and the actual number, may be

59 harrisburg and baltimore. 59 in boston. warmer, 79 in charleston. and 73 in pittsburg. and 74 in cleveland. so temperatures will be dropping down tonight into the low 40s. so it will be a chilly night out there. but clear skies allows for the cooler temperatures. but you can see zooming out. back the coast. in the midwest. there is a line of showers and storms. all associated with a cold front. so this one is inching toward our direction. come easter sunday. so we will see a couple more clouds around for easter sunday. and we could actually squeeze out a light april shower. but not a complete washout. slight chance for a rain shower depending on how much moisture makes it overtime mountain. so high pressure that is in control of our weather. the last three days. giving us the beautiful sunny weather. and above normal temperatures. and so, again, for tomorrow, for saturday. great day. to be outside. and temperatures tapping close to 80 for tomorrow. and then here comes the cold front late saturday night to

early sunday morning for easter. and we will see some clouds around. maybe an isolated rain shower that moves out quickly. and then once that does, late sunday, another ridge of high pressure is going to build in here for monday and tuesday. so, another stretch of some dry warm weather. so for tomorrow, for saturday. beautiful day downtown. ample amount of sunshine. 74 degrees. and the winds out of the southeast, switching over to the south hours. great day to be out on bay tomorrow. fort mchenry. 71. winds out of the south at five to 10. and waves 1 foot chop. five day is great. 74 saturday. 75 on sunday for easter. again couple more clouds around. maybe a light rain shower is possible. and 75 on monday. 79 on tuesday. and 77 on wednesday with rain showers. and there is some cooler air in the seven-day forecast which i will have that coming up in a few minutes.

>> a man is stuck 80 feet in the air. after his ultralight aircraft crashed into a tree. get this. officials say the pilot ran out of fuel. a man that works for a tree service climb to the pilot and got him into a harness, so he could be lowered to the ground. he was shaken up. but otherwise unharmed. >> bella the dog, was trapped under these concrete blocks for three hours. she ended up here after running away when the leash broke in the park in iowa. it took her owners an hour to find her. firefighters used air bags to lift the blocks and finally able to set the dog free. bella was happily reunited with her owners. >> the maternity ward in this arkansas hospital is seeing double. three times over. three sets of twins were born in three days. the first time the hospital has ever seen such a baby boom. >> i found out last night that there was one more set being born, they came in to get a couple of monitors fofrom my room.

one more set coming. and i thought that's cool. >> a nurse said the hospital may have run out of equipment if they had to deliver a fourth set. >> patrice harris fox 45 news "late edition". >> this afternoon, the orioles headed north b an hour from the sarasota home, to tampa to face the yankees in front of a national audience as spring training begins to wind down. picking up top of the first. samone faces rodriguez. he lifts a single to right center. randy win comes in from 2 and yankees take the lead. and later in the inning. 2-0 yankees. swisher up one. and he unloads. and reaches the top of the bleachers. for his second homer of the spring. new york on top. 4-0. and top of the sixth. how many times do you see this? mario rivera pitches with bases loaded?

robert andino hits a grounder to third. low throw. ca know cannot handle it. two runs score on the error. o's down. and next batter. reimold blood pressures a single to center. one comes in. and birds are down a run. top of the seventh. game tied at four. grounded between export third. wieters and wigginton score. and the o's lead 6-4. and bottom of the 9th. yankees down. and win at the plate with two on. singles to left. game tied at six. after the inning is over. both managers decide not to go to extras. it is spring training after all. so the game ends in a 6-6 tie. >> there was a scary moment in the game though. sixth inning, rivera, drills peia in the right ankle. peia had to leave the game. sent to scares for x-rays. dave trembley is optimistic saying he did not think it was anything to be concerned about.

peia is scheduled to start in left field against tampa bay. >> sad news tonight. former oriole pitcher mike kuare lost his battle with cancer. four time, 20 game winner, including 1971 when four orioles reached the 20 win mark. he ranks in the top five in oriole history in wins, strickouts, shut outs and winning pitched. he was 72. >> loyola head coach patso will stay in baltimore, a little bit longer. he declined an offer to join the coaching staff at st. john's in new york. patso that was a former assistant coach under gary williams at maryland went to his former boss, for advice. that advice was to stay at loyola. patso said the to sun, i want to coach at loyola. the future is bright and we are on the verge of being good. >> patsos has been the head coach since 2004.

past couple of days. 74 degrees tomorrow. for saturday. ample amount of sunshine. and easter sunday couple more clouds around as dry cold front pushes through the region. maybe light april shower later in the day. and most of the day is dry. monday and tuesday nice. sunny, dry. close to 80. by tuesday. and stronger cold front pushes in here. and has more moisture with it for wednesday and thursday. for a better chance for rain showers wednesday and thursday. cooling down to 61 next friday.
