morning. the fire started in the second floor of the rear bedroom of one of these homes and extened to the other next door neighbors. more than 70 firefighters were on the scene battling what did3 become a two-alarm fire. during that time they did find one person dead on the scene here in, an adult male found inside. hh is the 13th fatal fire victimmoo the year. at this point there's no information on that victim's identity. other victims, though in this fire. still two families are homeless after results. everyone here in the apartment complex is still evacuated left standing outside here for hours. >> it's a sad, sad night. you know, a lot of damage is done in the apartments, you know, people got to find a ome. it's just bad. >> reporter: no word this morning on what might have started aal of this.

it won't warm us up a whole lot. 55 in baltimore. generally in the 50s to the3 south and the central part of the state. mid-40s to the north and that because of all the cloud covery thaa we have with this rain. 55 degrees for the eastern shore while the central part of the state would be cooler. that comes between 2 and 4:00 this afternoon. back to the west, we are looking for a high temperature of 44 degrees with the showers continuung through the day. tonight more showers, but those will aper off in terms of strength and lightening up, 32 degrees for the oveenight low. and a couple of ingering showers and we dry out. cool days and we put the clock %-ravens game looking pretty god with temperatures that will be cool, though, 50 degrees or so. we will say 49 for the kickoof but a lot of sunshine so a pretty day.3 we're looking at 58 degrees on monday and we get into the 60s for tuesday and wednesday, still with plenty of sunshine. now for a look at what is happening on the roadways, heee is candace dold with the traffic

adult male found inside. this is the 13th fatal fire victim of the year. at this point, no information on the victim's identity. >> while battling the fire, of an adult man expierd at that location. the exact ccuse of death will b3 determined by the state medical examiner as well assthe cause of this fire remainssunder investigation by fire investigators. >> reporter: now we do know fortunately that there were no other victimssin this fire, but at least two families are now hooeless as a result. the red cross is on the scene here trying to work with them on where they will spend the night tonight. at this point, still no word on what might have caused this fire. fire investigators will be on the scene here throughout the day trying to figure that out. again, a reminder to eeeryone, though. make sure your fire alarms are working. we are told that when fir fights entered this man's home there were no audible working fire ddke torse adetoque!detectors a.

45 years old joanna findlay is facing murder charges in the death of gary trodden. authorities say she shot and trodden had called to rrport a dommstic dispute and called back to say his wife opened fire on him. he was dead before police arrived to the couple's hollywood home. >> baltimore's mayor is making plans to eliminate all empty boarded up ouses across the city. on wednesday, mayor stephanie rawlings-blake announced a 6 point plan called vacant to value. the plan mmkes selling vacant it would enforce a $900 fine to absentee land homeowners and offers an incentives to those who renovate homes. to the neighbors of those homes it comes as welcomed news.

congestion on the roadwaysú out there, but rain has something to do with it. we will get more on that from candace, but first let's talk about the rain with meteorologist steve fie fertig. good morning, patrice. take a lookkat the hd radar. there's areas where we are seeing brake lights right now. downtown, seeing breaks into the north but still seeinggthe showers rather heavy where it's been the eaviest to the north and east. northeast and charles toww seeing some of that heaviest rain this morning. contrary that iarea that is seen elsewhere. the rain is going to continue to be a factor for the remainder the day as more moisture streams in with breaks in between. periods of rain toddy, take a look at the ssrface feature. we have a low pressure center off the coast that is moving north and east. that surface low in addition to an upper level low that will be coming up behind it will bring

us shower hances tonight with shower chances showing up at 2:00 p.m. in the central part of the state. it could be anytime of the day when we see breaks of the rain and by :00 a.m., tomorrow morning, you start to see it all moving out. could still be lingerrng showers on the backside of it and lighter tomorrow aad a much lesser chance. high pressure builds in after that and we look forward to a it will be a weekend that willgh be very cool, too with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50. as far as rain, today and tomorrow, we will looo at about an inch of rain so that issa significant amount. temperatures milder this morning because of all of the cloud cover, 50 degrees in baltimore, 51 in washington and 55 in salisbury. mid-to upper 40s to the north and west assyou can see hagerstown at 45 and chillier s you go further west toward oakkand at 37 degrees there. temperatures won't change a the northeast will be a warmest part today. -ortheast winds at 5-fitch miles
