they filed a federal lawsuut asking for $145 million. crime and justice reporter joy lepola talks with the yawning man's father. >> reporter: it's been almost three years since 0 years old jarel's death. little to ease the pain. done >> as far as the three years to his mom and i it's like 3 minutes. >> reporter: on november 18th, 2007, officered responded to a suspected fight in progress. a frederick county deputy confronted jarel. the attorney who is familiar with cases involving tasers, says the deputy did what they had to do. >> they did what they were trained to do and what the law permitt them tt do and what was necessary under the circumstances at that ttmee >> reporter:: the deputy tasered the 20 years old, not once but twice. >> it's been a long road. we look at the lawsuit as the case as far as money, but they don't see what we're going through as far as a child.
