an arrest is made in the belvedere tire shop fire. fire.police arrested jason hicks... an employee at the tire shop.they're charging him with first degree arson.the fire broke out a week ago and flames quickly spread throughout the family business.... that had been there for over 50 years.fire crews spent all day trying to put out the fire.rueben maxwell owns the auto repair shop next door... and he says he saw hicks the day of the fire.he says... hicks has caused problems in the past by starting fights with employees

parked tractor trailer in elkridge.it happened on brookdale drive... just east of route one... around 12:45 saturday afternoon. investigators say 30-year-old... juan carlos calderon mejia... was speeding. he did not have a license to drive a motorcycle and he was not wearing a helmet. rescuers are continuing their search this morning for one person still missing after a small plane crashed off smith island. the plane crashed sunday afternoon into the chesapeake bay about three miles from the island.the pilot of the plane was able to swim ashore.he told state police that his mother was also on board the plane but died while they were in the water.her body has yet to be found. the fallout from major flooding is still being felt in port deposit. deposit.for almost a month now...residents in port deposit have been cleaning up and salvaging what they can. now the concern is condemned homes...and whether the people who used to live there...will ever come back.
