in cropwatch, a grower from hancock county, indiana will be glad to close the books on this growing season. he says he had the " worst corn yields ever". the producer says he actually saw the yield monitor read zero, although there were lots of corn stalks. just no ears on the stalks. in new york state it appears apple orchards fared pretty well after last weekend's snow-storm. the state's apple association says the bulk of the state's crop is grown in areas which received little snow. 91- percent of the crop is picked. it's time for our weekly discussion about the markets. i'll be moving over and starting the conversation in two minutes.

the 19th of november. this is going to be the first really bitterly cold air mass coming south ward i believe. precipitation then for next week above normal for rest of the east coast. below normal for western texas and much of the four corners region. then the pacific northwest probably above normal. as far as the 30 day outlook for temperatures i know it's a little bit different than the predicter. i think it's going to be below normal. all the way to the canadian border.

texas oklahoma in the desert southwest. and the 30 day outlook for precipitation above normal back into the central mississippi valley. and into the dry areas of the southern plains.

working at the plant greeter. he decided to put his knowledge of the fruit to the test. then he teamed up with friend and partner to the test to see what apricot he could grow. >> he is a mad scientist, that is his trade. our end of the deal has been more of the end of it. we were able to work two different sides of it. >> what i say is please taster. i think if i can get this candycot in someone's mind, it's not a question of whether

they will buy. >> what the duo ended up with was something no one else ended up in the market. a super sweet apricot it tasted like something they called nature's candy. so they oddly named the apricot a candycot. they are able to leave it on the tree for a longer period of time because of that the fruit must be handled with the ut most care so it doesn't bruce or scar. the fruit is placed in these especially made packages. >> what we have here is education of the consumer that these apricots are very high sugar. and with high sugar apricots they happen to have some spotting on the skin. it actually starts to dry on the tree. as a result you get these spots. >> they are still real small.

we can grow other things out into the market. and these are, we are controlling these very limiting production. we actually get to see the consumer eat it and experience it firsthand. it's an incredible reaction as a grower to be able to experience that and see the thrill of eating something that tastes good. >> it was 1792 when the first california apricot was harvested which had been planted years earlier but spanish explorers. today the state grows about 17,000 acres of apricots that's 90% of this nation's crop. and when u.s. farm report continues, we will visit with our good friend baxter black who has some thoughts on the fall round up. >> miss any of today's show, go

but this week we have a special treat. we introduce a crusher from the 1800s that's really big for its size. >> this is a model 60 horse tractor that was made between the year of 1910 to 1924. the big tractor was used for mainly crashing grain and that type work back years ago. i made every part on this with the exceptions of two castings which was of the governor and the heat exchanger. everything else was made by bar stocks, and what by myself. i have two years and three months so far but i'm not quite done yet. the burling was made out of castings, the back is made out of welding rods and all the

today's country church salute goes to the yeste rville lutheran church of este rville iowa. seven families move from wisconsin to that part of iowa. a visiting pastor led the first service. in 1870 a full time pastor received the devine call. he was paid $100 plus 200- bushels of wheat and 200- bushels of oats. church member ladona burgoson says they feel blessed. our second church is also commemorating a big anniversary. the lutheran church in missouri is celebrating 150 years of ministry. it was established in november. a special service will be held this weekend to mark the occasion.

i think many would argue that it's just a man's problem. it cleary affects relationships, it affects a man's perspective, his self-image as well as how he interacts with not only his sexual partner but also his relationships at work and friendships and everything else. donna rice, you have 16 years of experience in treating erectile dysfunction would you agree that women are just as affected as men? yes, i agree. it certainly does affect women emotionally and it also affects the couples in all aspects of their relationship. and so, husband and wife don't think they love each other anymore because things aren't happening, right? right. often, it builds a wall, a barrier, and the communication ends. the gentleman becomes kind of indifferent, they don't engage in some of their social activities. so it really creates a problem with couples in general. even though over 80% of the cases that you find, erectile dysfunction, are the result of physical causes? yes, there's a real, real huge emotional component
