3 3 in the wake of the colorado theater massacre... many states are questioning their own gun control laws... deciding whether they need to be tightened. tightened.here in maryland... changes are coming... but for a different reason.megan gilliland is here with more on a ruling that could make it easier for people here to carry a concealed weapon. good morning guys,under the current law... residents are required to provide what's called a "good and substantial

reason" to carry a handgun. but one baltimore county man fought to change that. that.raymond woollard was originally given a permit to carry a concealed weapon back in 2002... after a man broke into his home during a family gathering.but in 2008... state police denied woollard's application... saying he no longer needed it.woollard filed a lawsuit. (woollard) "everyone who has no criminal record who wants to carry a gun for self protection should get one..." one..."ultimately, a federal judge ruled in woollard's favor... saying a resident's right to bear arms is the only reason someone needs to carry a handgun.the law goes into effect in two weeks. but critics argue this doesn't stop the dangerous criminals. coming up next half hour.. what they believe needs to happen to keep you safe.i'm megan gilliland, fox45 morning news. a surprising statistic out of

the entrance he didnt have time to stop." stop."the woman is recovering at shock trauma. she suffered some cuts and possibly broken bones, but is expected to be ok. the man found guilty of killing singer jennifer hudson's family members wants a new trial. trial.but if suspect william balfour's request is denied, he could face life without parole. balfour was convicted of fatally shooting the singer's mother and brother in their chicago home in october, 2008. in may, a jury found him guilty on three counts of first-degree murder, and four other counts related to the slayings. tensions between relatives of the famous jackson family were caught on tape monday. it seems janet, jermaine and randy jackson attempted to convince michael jackson's two oldest children to leave katherine jackson's california home with them, but paris and prince resisted. the video shows janet jackson apparently trying to take a cell phone away from 14-year-old paris jackson. on the video, randy and janet
