hello, i'm jennifer gilbert. jeff barnd is off tonight.three maryland casinos generate more than 48-million dollars in revenue for july. but revenue at one of those casinos...is taking a "nose-dive."as john rydell reports... the operators of hollywood casino...are now explaning what happened... happened... when hollywood casinoin perryville...opened....wwyears ago...there was plenty of fanfare...andof course...plenty of betters.but a lot has changed...in those two years. years.operators expected to see a slight drop in business...when maryland live opened two months ago...at arundel mills.but in july...slots revenueat hollywood casino.... dropped...by...32-percent... from the same month a year ago. so in... an unusual move...hollywood casino... wants to return..."500"...of its slot machines...back to the state.(hayles) "so when you add in the fact that baltimore could get a casino in a couple of years, it's going to have a further impact on us, so what we're trying to do is just rightsize the property so make sure we have the right amount of units in the building that makes sense from a fiscally responsive point of view." view.""state lottery

at a dennys restaurant in edgewood, and used an accelerant to start the fire. the flames spread quickly, causing more than a half a million dollars in damages. luckily, all 70 people inside got out safely after a customer spotted the flames. they arrived at the scene, they found high levels of carbon monoxide and more than 60 other employees began complaining of symptoms.... the leak was traced back to generators outside the building, which were activated during a power outage a few hours earlier. and two people are sent to the hospital after a chlorine leak in east baltimore.it happened this morning at the montebello treatment plant on hillen road. more than a dozen employees were evacuated while fire crews worked to stop the leak. "right now we have a hazmat materials on the scene they did investigate a possible chlorine leak they did stop a small leak inside the facility." officials are continuing to investigate but say no one outside the plant was affected. crews are one step closer toward reparing that major water main break in downtown ba. baltimore..... the largest water main pipes have been reconnected.. which means they'll soon be back on line.. since that break 3 weeks ago, cars have been re- directed.... and foot traffic has been steady.. but
