million from the yyar before. that means more than 84% of americans are insured.why the increase? a few reasons. first, a growing number of &pinsurance from the gooernment... meaning medicaid or medicare.the number of medicaid recipients rose to more than 16 percent while those on medicare jumped to 15 percent.second, more young adults are insured, largely because of the 2000's affordable care act.it allows children to stay on their parents' health carr plans until age 26. but not all the ten percent of kids under 19 years old remain uninsured -- whichhdidn't really change from 2010. this is worrisome because when someone is uninsured, they'reellss likely to go toothe doctor, fill prescriptions, or gee the care they need.but overall more americans are getting health insurance... so your wait at the doctor's office coull get a bit longer. i'm alison kosik in new york. -----end-----cnn.script----- in boston. surgerr..approved
