(announcer) next, on "bridezillas." ♪ ♪ (announcer) meet our 23-year-old bride to be, tanesha. my name's tanesha from jacksonville, and i currently work at a bank. (announcer) and her 36-year-old fiancé, dewayne. my name is dewayne. i am an i.t. specialist. (announcer) when these two first met, it was anything but love at first sight. he was acting like an (beep) in the beginning. i don't think he was acting.

i think he was afraid, because he didn't want to quickly fall for this "p-y-t," so... this pretty young thing. (announcer) tanesha somehow overcame dewayne's bad attitude. perhaps due to his seemingly bottomless bank account. his personality was the first thing that attracted me to him... (giggle) (cash register cha-chings) i need some money. dewayne spoiled me. he bought me things all the time. we went out a lot, a lot. and that's what i'm used to, so that's what i like, and that's how he won me over. (dewayne) as far as the age difference, a lot of my friends are like jealous, you know, big time. i never said anything to her, but they were big time jealous. oh wow... really, because their wives are like huge and overweight. so, they were like really jealous. (announcer) and after a quickie one year courtship, this match made in trophy-wife-heaven is set to make things official. we're getting married at my church 'the sanctuary at mt. cavern.'

and the reception will be at the mosh. the museum of science and history. (announcer) previously... a wedding cake price tag managed to turn tanesha's tummy. i just don't want to pay $500 for a cake. his fat (beep) just wasted my time. (announcer) and tanesha demanded her bridal gown leave nothing to the imagination. i want cleavage. i really don't care what people think about it being too sexy. (announcer) so can all of tanesha's blue sky wedding day dreams come true without bankrupting her fiancé? i just resigned this morning. dewayne, if i can't find my damn ring, we not getting married. and they have to be the same three and a half karats as the first one. (announcer) with only two days left to the wedding, tanesha is turning into one pooped princess. the stressful part about planning this wedding, to me, is... that i'd gotten a job, and i wish i hadn't gotten a job until after the wedding because now i'm committed to work, and home, and then this wedding too, so... it's pretty stressful. (announcer) well, while tanesha would prefer to play housewife permanently, dewayne would prefer not to be the sole breadwinner, at least for a few years. i wish i didn't have to work, but i guess... how many years do i have to work? you have to work approximately seven years. for seven whole years? yep. seven whole years.

no... no. (announcer) having to wait until the ripe old age of 30 to retire from her job at the bank is not what this bride has in mind. so, she decides to call it quits a little earlier than that. i just resigned this morning. i we to work at 9:00. i got off at 9:54. i'm not going back. it's too much. i quit my job, because i'm stressed out. i have too much to do. i'm off... for good! (announcer) our impulsive bridezilla failed to discuss this career change with her fiancé, so when he overhears her bragging about it, he is understandably a tad put out. what? surprise! secret's out. dewayne didn't know i quit my job, but he was gonna find out anyway, so... oh well. you say you did what? i quit my job. why? because i don't want to work no more. this wedding is stressing me out. i can't work and plan a wedding. major mistake.

okay, well... major, major mistake. too late. no, it's not too late. yes, it is too late 'cause i- i made, uh, wrote a resignation letter. i can't go back-- i'm done. i turned in my badge-- i'm done. i can be the housewife i always wanted to be. so you turned in a resignation letter? yes. why-- i mean, why? dewayne, because this is too much for me! i can't do all this and work! i can't take care of home and work a full time job and-- you make it seem like you're, uh, into stem cell research. (announcer) this revelation is too much for dewayne, and he's beginning to wonder if he should kick this free loader to the curb. what if i say, okay, i'm not ready. i'm not ready to get married. dewayne... i mean, everybody-- you're an adult.

i'm saying, really, maybe we'll just try it again in like six months. you have the right to do whatever you choose. so, you gonna stay? mmm-hmmm. we're not married yet, like i said, i mean, i'm 36-years-old. you know, i've been around the block. i've been around the world. you know, you can't play a player. if you think that you cannot work right now when we're about to get married and it's okay, that's a problem. dewayne, what can i do? i don't have a job. yeah, because you quit. you're not gonna make me look like a fool. you know what i mean? naw, it won't happen. (announcer) and her fresh faced fiancé, corey. my name is corey cantu. i am a student slash pharmacy tech. (megan) i am older by two years. corey's only 21 and i'm 23. to me it doesn't seem big, but some people think i'm robbing the cradle. (announcer) this toledo twosome met up at work where megan's reputation preceded her. i met corey at work, at the hospital. (corey) i'd worked there about a week, and i'd never worked with megan. and people told me that there was this younger girl named megan. she's mean is basically what they said. so, i was not looking forward to meeting her at all.

(announcer) corey didn't really have a choice as this workplace witch wound up being his boss. i actually got to train him, and as i was training him at work i made him ask me out. (corey) she forced me to go out with her. she looked at me halfway through the day and said, "so where are you taking me saturday night?" and-- but you went-- you agreed. i guess i did, but... you didn't say no. yeah, i didn't say yes either. (announcer) something must have gone horribly right on that first date, because soon after megan commanded corey to propose... sort of. she kept wanting me to propose, and one christmas i got her a ring, which was not an engagement ring, and the whole car ride over to my mother's house on christmas, she just nagged me and nagged me and nagged me about it being an engagement ring, and i just gave in and said, "fine, it's an engagement ring-- we'll get married." and that was it. (announcer) it's been three years since that fateful day, and now the couple is actually going through with it.

we are getting married at nazareth hall in grand rapids, ohio on... leap day. leap day! (announcer) and when it comes to the wedding, there's nothing fun about my wedding. it's not a party, guys. it's not prom. it's not high school. i don't like that kind of stuff. (announcer) dewayne seems to have come to terms with tanesha's lack of employ, but exacts a little revenge by hiding the wedding ring tanesha carelessly left lying around.

i've been looking for my ring all day. i don't know where my ring is. i believe dewayne has it, and is playing a practical joke, and it's not funny. i don't know where it is. it's not everywhere i've looked. i'ved dumped everything out of mpurse. i don't know where it's at. hopefully, i find my ring before the wedding, or he'll just have to buy me another one. mya, you seen my ring? dewayne, you sure you don't have it? i only have this. dewayne, please, don't, don't do that. you sure you haven't seen my ring? uh, no. this morning i saw the ring on the floor, so what i did, i took the ring and she asked me, "have you seen the ring?" i was like, "no, no, no, i haven't seen it." mya, go tell your daddy to give me my ring. tanesha always calls me a big prankster, a big jokester. so, i mean, i might as well play the role. (announcer) dewayne is unmoved and unmotivated to help tanesha navigate her way across town in the middle of the night, leaving her no choice but to rely on a perfectly reliable gps system. it's 9:00 o'clock at night. he know i don't know where i'm going, but he got other (beep) he gotta do, so he can't go. she doesn't know where she's going. now she's working the navigation. she doesn't know how to work it. i don't know who pissed you off, but somebody done pissed you off and is handling you. i'm not the one... (beep, beep) (announcer) our bridezilla would much rather have dewayne play chauffeur, than have to ask for help with the gps, so tanesha peels out of the driveway, wer and directionless. he just-- i don't know, it's like he's finding a reason for me to go off on him. everybody else know to stay out of my way, and don't get on my bad side. maybe dewayne missed the memo, i don't know.

(announcer) dewayne may have missed the memo, but tanesha just missed her exit by about a mile. (tanesha) i'm just going around in circles. (gps) left turn ahead. this is the (beep) i was trying to avoid. (announcer) at nearly every turn, tanesha drives the opposite way, so even with the gps instructions, our directionally challenged bridezilla winds up getting lost. (woman on phone) hello? hey, renita, i'm using the navigation in the car, and it is really about to make me snatch it out and throw it out the window. (announcer) miracle of miracles, tanesha finally figures out the gps all by herself, and makes it to her make-up trial only about an hour late. how are you? i'm glad you finally made it. yeah, since the navigation system took me somewhere else! navigation systems suck. (announcer) in keeping with her no-fun policy, megan decides to keep her kick off the combined bachelor- bachelorette bash with everyone's favorite ice breaker...

a surprise meeting. (megan) shut up! all right, i have a list here. we're gonna go through it. i have some pass outs for everybody. so, that you guys know what you're doing the day of and the day before. we had a few people-- (clears her throat) girls! i need just no rattling of the chips. if you're gonna rattle them, put them down. everyone looking up here-- eye contact. (corey) eye contact! i need you to shut up. first of all, there were a few people this evening who thought that the time i gave them to show up was, you know, give or take 30 minutes or an hour, but it's not okay for thursday and friday. if i tell you to be there, you need to be there right on time, which is why i have handouts for you guys. that's yours. nate, that one's yours. don't lose these. i do have extras if you're irresponsible and lose them though. (announcer) six days before the wedding, tanesha has just learned the dj dewayne hired for the reception has just dropped out, and our bridezilla is not a happy bunny. the dj i had, i guess he decided he wasn't gonna be my dj anymore. i have six days to go. i have to find a dj, and it's just-- it's too much. when you talked to the dj last, what did he say? actually i spoke with him last month, and he was good, so when i called him last night, he said that he didn't have the equipment, so we kind of got into it. i was in charge of the dj. good friend of mine i grew up with. he bailed out on me. i actually knew a couple of days ago he bailed out on me-- i just didn't tell tanesha. (announcer) and perhaps with good reason. hello, this is tanesha, dewayne's fiancé. um, i am highly upset that you chose to cancel out on us at the last minute. it wasn't my idea to go with you in the first place,

(old dj) yeah, so you gonna call me with that nonsense. i told this man three or four weeks ago, that i had no intention of doing this whatsoever, so now what's the problem? the problem is dewayne explained to me that months ago, he asked you to do the wedding. (old dj) and did he tell you that i said, no? no, he did not. (old dj) okay, we'll you need to talk to him then. no-- oooh, this (beep). (dewayne) that is a lie-- come on now. (announcer) lucky for dewayne, a replacement has been made, so tanesha lets it drop, and the crisis comes to an end. all right. when i called leah and explained the situation to leah, leah, used her contacts, and that's how we got a dj, and it's done. (announcer) it's the night of tanesha's rehearsal, and our bridezilla is running very late, and feeling just terrible about it. it's 6:06, and i'm not even there, but i'm the bride, and i can be late. they can wait on me. (announcer) luckily for tanesha in route, they hit a wall of traffic giving her the perfect excuse for her tardiness. 'cause it's a bad accident, so 295 is blocked off, and so we have to get off because they have one whole lane totally blocked. oh, my god-- we're on our way. who's that? all right.

laronda. she's like, "your family's here waiting." well, let them wait. i know, right-- works for me. (annncer) they arrive over an hour late, but it takes all of 30 seconds for tanesha to throw dewayne under the bus. it is not my fault-- blame dewayne. i'm an hour late-- we finally got here. my family understands. i can't push the cars on the highway, and make me here faster, so... things happen. (announcer) just as the rehearsal finally begins, groomsmen joe decides to take a personal call. (phone ringing) not something our bridezilla appreciates. it's not acceptable. (phone ringing) bride's coming. (announcer) as the rehearsal continues, so do the phone calls. this time, dewayne's caught. (leah) we'll turn you around. look at the groom. dewayne! what's up? that wasn't even his phone. he took the phone from joe. (announcer) joe only continues to make matters worse

by joking around on tanesha's time. everybody must be here at... (in unison) 1:00 o'clock. you can get dressed here. does that go for the ugly guys too? (leah) for you too, joe. what about these ugly guys out playing domino? (leah) everybody! you don't need to get dressed at home. get dressed here at 1:00 o'clock. (announcer) having had it with joe's shenanigans, our bridezilla doesn't get mad, she gets even by having a friend call his mother. i ain't doing nothing! i'm not doing nothing, mom. oooh. i am, mom-- i ain't doing nothing. since joe decided to act like a fool today during rehearsal, i had somebody call his momma. so, tomorrow that won't happen. that's a trip. if a man ever gets out of line, call his momma.

♪ (announcer) after a long rehearsal, tanesha's wedding guests return to her house for dinner, but it's far from being ready. i'm just gonna put them in here, in the bowl right here. well, the dinner's gonna start, and it's not gonna be like a sit down dinner. it's gonna be like a family gathering more than a rehearsal dinner. (announcer) just as the cooking gets underway, the chef runs out of cooking oil while frying up the fish, so in a very un-bridezilla move, tanesha volunteers for what should be a quick run to the store. all right-- hurry up. (announcer) forty-five minutes pass and still no tanesha, and the hungry crowd starts to grumble. yes, i'm very hungry.

is the food done? she had to go get grease. why don't you go see where the food at? i don't know, waiting-- trying to find out... where the (beep) tanesha's at. she's been gone about, almost an hour. come on. wal-mart's five minutes away. i tried to call her, guess what? her phone's in the house. hmm, suspicious. you know what i mean? this is not the time to be suspicious with dewayne. i've been in the game a long time. (announcer) tired of waiting for tanesha, the guests begin to bail. (woman) dewayne, we'll see you tomorrow. y'all leaving? we're gonna have to go, dewayne. the kids are kind of hungry and kind of tired, so we're gonna go on and get something to eat. lay them down. we got a full day ahead of us tomorrow. see you tomorrow-- love you. i love you too. we'll see y'all tomorrow. half of my family has left to go back to the hotel. half of her friends and family has left. (announcer) having been pushed to the paranoid brink, dewayne is about to go on a hunt for his missing bridezilla.

i'm about to go to wal-mart and try to find out did tanesha and her friend go to the grocery store to actually make oil out of some peanuts. this is not good for a bride... ...especially when dewayne is footing the bill, you know what i mean? (announcer) just as dewayne gets ready to leave, tanesha finally shows up. that might be her pulling up. it took that long to go to wal-mart? (tanesha) you ain't never been to wal-mart at nighttime? we just wanted oil. dewayne, i still have to wait. i can't make people move out the way so i can pay for stuff. (dewayne) i don't know what the (beep) you been doing! it don't take you that long! half the people done left, because they hungry. i'm sorry! i don't give a (beep) if people left. that's not my problem. i can't rush them people inside wal-mart! you could have got oil from anywhere. what else was open? if that's the case you should have went and got it. you right-- you (beep) right. why you left your cell phone? i didn't mean to leave my cell phone!

my cell phone was on the charger. no, it was on the microwave. okay, well, if it's on the microwave, i don't know how it got there. you said what-- you don't know how it got there? man, that (beep) don't even sound right. you don't never leave your cell phone nowhere. (announcer) and it's clear that tanesha is overcome with guilt. anybody that got upset, because it took me so long... oh, well. (dewayne) what took you so long? you left here to go get oil. you've been gone for over an hour! (tanesha) i cannot help it. the lines were long inside wal-mart! i hope it ain't too rough. (dewayne) who you riding with? (tanesha) i'm riding with stacie! (dewayne) calm down-- she t a cell phone? (tanesha) no! (dewayne) nobody got no (beep) cell phone? hold on, hold on, hold on. (announcer) nesha's friend acie confirms the story about why they were late, but what's that in her hand? we went to the grocery store, and the lines were long. that's what took us so long to get here. (dewayne) did it ever register in your mind that i've been gone for 30, 45 minutes, an hour? people waiting to eat-- kids waiting to eat. (tanesha) i can't help that. mya and them already ate... (dewayne) listen, i'm saying.

yep, i'm going home where it's quiet. (tanesha) why are you making this out of nothing? i went to the damn store to get oil! that's the only (beep) place i went! (dewayne) okay, but i'm saying-- d it not (beep) gister that-- (dewayn) (tanesha) no, no, no, no, no. (dewayne) as soon as you walked in here, the first thing-- y'all need to chill. all right, mom. y'all need to chill. all right, mom! i can't take no more of this here crap. it don't make no sense. none whatsoever. (yelling in background) you got to argue and carry on like that, you probably don't need to get married! that's the way i feel about it. ain't nobody asked my opinion, but i'm darn sure giving it. i've had enough. (announcer) after nearly 20 minutes of fighting, dewayne finally emerges, and there's still nothing to eat, but one giant bitter pill. might be called off, dawg. it's really not too smart, you know, 24 hours-- less than 24 hours, before we're gonna be considered as one

to be doing something that's really (beep) up. this is the last dance, baby. don't forget-- tonight is dewayne's bachelor party. hmmmm. that's the icing on the cake, baby. well, man, i might see you tomorrow, might not, whatever. whatever happens, happens. he can stay out all night. he cannot come home. he can do whatever he want to do. i just need to be by myself.
