police became aware of the a neighbor said that man had killed four people. >> well officers responded to a very unusual call -- a large naked man sitting in a chair yell fog police of the he said he -- yell -- yelling for police after he said he shot people inside this apartment building. >> the amount of ammunition is probably the most unusual at this point. >> these are police evidence photos shows more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition. officers also found 7 guns when they responded to a 911 call for a 500-pound naked manueling -- man, yell he had shot four intruders. >> her neighbor had fired four shots from a pistol.

she also showed us where her neighbor mark schlagel lives. >> i know he has issues. i don't know what kind of issues. >> officers say when they arrived at the apartment, they found no evidence there were any intruders. >> he truly believed there were four people. he fired some rounds in the direction he thought they were. >> they do not know why he was naked. >> i don't mind people having guns. it is not the gun that kills people. it is the people behind them. i don't think we are strict enough on the people we give the begins to. >> she has yet to stop shaking. >> i wasn't going to let him take that from me. >> schlagel is in the hospital for an evaluation. he is charged with felony reckless conduct. police do have his guns and ammo pending the outcome of the case.

back to you. a developing story now from the bahamas. the search for a missing cargo ship with four people from maine on board. coast guard crews have found scattered debris but not the ship. jim. >> this is the worst of times for the families of the missing crew members. today the weather improved but the news only seemed to get more distressing. >> winds are super bad. love to everyone. >> a hard broken mother from maine reading the last e-mail she received from her daughter. cargo ship. the vessel went straight into a juan. this mother is not pointing fingers. >> the blame that is to be done is on the hurricane, not the captain.

>> coast guards search crews have found multiple pieces of debris including life jackets. another mother from maine is also trying to hang on. her son, 25-year-old mike holland is also on the ship. >> it is very difficult but i have to tell you that is it is supportive to be with people that are going through the same thing we are. that makes it -- if you can even wrenching. >> the coast guard searched more than 70,000 miles on sunday. what they found so far is not encouraging. an oil sheen and other possible wreckage. >> about a 225 mile debris filled. we found several pieces of foam. we found a 55 gallon drum. >> now the cargo ship did have two lifeboats and some life rafts but unfortunately there are no signs of those either. they will have an update on monday morning.

we will see some breaks of sunshine in the afternoon. i have the rest of my forecast in a bit. some strong winds today made for dangerous conditions as waltham firefighters battle add fire in an apartment building. that building sustained lots of damage. fortunately they were all able to get out safely. no word yet on a cause. meantime firefighters in upton battled this stubborn blaze there overnight. crews had to shutdown the road till the morning. the cause of that fire is still under investigation. the trial of phillip chism begins this week. they is the teenager accused of #r5i7ing and killing his math teach -- raping and killing his math teacher. he was just 14 when prosecutors say he followed the 24-year-old, colleen ritzer into a high school, raped and murdered her.

his lawyer expected to use an insanity defense. families are giving chilly accounts of the gunman's rampage in oregon. they welcomed people to join together in prayer for the nine victims. the father of lacy said she played dead and the gunman by passed her because she was covered with the blood of another victim. >> the blood of that boy covered my daughter saved my daughter's life. >> police say the gunman a 26-year-old killed himself. investigators are still trying to figure out the motive behind the attack. the oregon school shooting ing
