thank you very much, pamela. 4:31 right now. a convenience store clerk is injured in a stabbing overnight in bedford. police say the suspect walked into the store at the shell gas station after great road. he demanded cash and at some point the clerk was stabbed. the clerk suffered minor injuries. the suspect then ran off. developing this morning, a shooting after the patriots- cowboys gape. it left a man in critical condition. police in arlington, texas, sigh there was a fight in the parking lot yesterday evening. a man in his 40s was shot in the head and taken to the hospital. facing several charges. police are investigating what led to that shooting though a spokesperson says the victim tailgating at the time. boston police are searching for a suspect in four violent armed robberies in dorchester that all happened within about 20 minutes of each other. >> a sexual assault also happened in the same neighborhood in boston.

police are wondering if the same person is responsible for all of those crimes. as paul burton reports, police are hoping surveillance video will lead them to the suspect. police are searching for the man who's wanted in a crime spree in dorchester. four separate robberies in the areas of zitson, lee roy -- streets. >> makes me think how i leave my house and walk my girlfriend home. >> reporter: a man is shown in the video wearing a red shirt and khaki pants. police are looking to see if robberies. all four happened within a span of ten minutes between 10:00 and 10:20. he demanded cash and threatened to harm the individuals if they didn't hand over their money. >> here it's surprising. >> i heard about violence in this neighborhood years ago but not so much lately. >> it's so frightening.

it used to be a hot bed. >> reporter: detectives are investigating to see if the man was also involved in a sexual assault in dorchester on the same day. >> any time you get a situation like that, there's always a very active investigation. there is good footage. >> reporter: this is a relatively quiet neighborhood but incidents like these make them think twice. are you careful when you go out at night? >> yes, very careful. i don't use head phones when i go out at night. >> maybe you shouldn't walk alone. >> reporter: anyone with information is asked to call boston police. i'm paul burton, wbz news. trouble for those flying southwest airlines. a technical issue is forces them to -- forcing them to check in passengers manually. it's caused long lines around the country and some passengers have even missed flights. customers are urged to arrive at least two hours ahead of today. rolling through the granite state today. eight presidential hopefuls

from both parties will join more than 12 hundred voters at what's being called a no labels problem solving convention. bernie sanders and donald trump are both on the schedule. other candidates include chris christie and lindsey graham. republican presidential hopeful donald trump gets a warning from a rock 'n' roll legend. you see him there. trump walked into a campaign event with the aerosmith event "dream on ." steven tyler asked trump to stop using the song. his lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to trump saying the candidate does not have permission to use any aerosmith song at a campaign event. tyler's reps were quick to point out he's not entirely opposed to trump's bid. tyler is a registered republican.

was shot multiple times yesterday. the investigation is ongoing. he's the second memphis police officer shot to death in the last two and a half months. two outside reviews into the shooting death of a black boy by a white cleveland police officer has concluded the shooting was justified. the reviews were ordered by the prosecutor investigating the death of tamir rice in november of last year. the 12-year-old was holding a pellet gun in his hand. a retired f.b.i. agent and denver prosecutor concluded the patrolman based on emergency calls had reason to believe the boy was a serious threat. it's up to a grand jury to decide if the officer will be charged in tamir's death. two boats and a dock on the cape destroyed by fire. it happened yesterday on riverside road along the little river in mashpee. one boat caught fire. flames then spread to another boat and then the dock. that damaged a third boat. no word, though, of what caused

two quincy families left homeless after this fire. it broke out on philips street yesterday and spread to the third floor and attic. everybody got out safely but the building is a total loss. and investigators still tying to determine what caused a deadly fire in franklin. a couple was killed saturday morning when their home exploded and burst into flames. neighbors say they had just moved from florida to the new condominium to be closer to their grandchildren. the condo was heated by propane and a gas leak is suspected. police on the cape are trying to find a vandal who painted swastikas on the bike path between brewster and harwich. they have already been painted over. governor charlie baker is proposing a new step to help the state's opioid crisis. the governor wants to give hospitals the power to treat substance abusers, whether they want it or not. legislation would apply to

addicts who pose a danger to them selves or others. the governor believes medical professionals need more tools to fight the opioid crisis. one of boston's oldest theaters may have held its last performance. some of the greatest musicals showed at the colonial theater. especialerson college owns the theater and is considering converting it into a dining hall and performance space. >> i think boston would be losing a lot of architectural history, a lot of theater appreciation. it's kind of like one of those things where good broadway, offbroadway theater is dying here in the the city. >> at the moment there are no more scheduled events at the theater. the colonial opened in 1900 making it the oldest continuing operating theater in boston. >> this is beautiful.

check this out. football fields often are filled during big games but this was an exception. heavy rain cascaded down the steps after high school stadium and flowed right on to the one giant pool. fallen leaves covered the storm drains so that's why it ended it rose fast. crews were out yesterday trying to get the stadium ready for the school's next game. that is a big stadium for a high school. >> it's going to abmuddy field for a while -- to be a muddy field for a while. >> kind of fun for the guys to slide around. gear. not like that around here. it's so nice out there. >> thank goodness. we did have beneficial rain an conditions. out there in seattle, they're the rain. unfortunately it all came down so fast, so quick and such a short period of type. hopefully those flooding areas definitely subside later today.

according to weather bug. i can tell you the radar was nice and clear and it's going brewster 54. locations. here in boston we're 52 degrees. dew point nice and low. wind from the southwest at 9 miles per hour helping to keep temperatures just slightly warmer compared to this time yesterday. 50s. 40s in most spots. keene, toe, down to 39 degrees -- though, down to 39 degrees. hour-by-hour forecast temps will be in the 50s. we reach 66 degrees. more 70s on the way. we'll be close to 70 on the cape and islands but here in boston 75 degrees. upper 70s inland. maybe a couple of spots reaching 80 degrees. definitely keep those reports flowing later today. we'll keep you posted. if anyone does hit # 0 degrees, i want -- 80 degrees, i want to hear about it. 52 in boston.

a mild night us for. the clouds roll into the picture. then highs tomorrow will still be rather warm. low 70s, upper 60s but tomorrow we're also battling some rain. hour-by-hour forecast, i want to start here this morning just to show you there's nothing moving in for at least the next 24 hours or so. a few clouds just off the cape here. those clouds will move off shore. noon we're all clear here. mostly sunny skies. a few fair weather clouds passing by. just like yesterday very pleasant but a little bit warmer. overnight tonight the clouds roll into the forecast. we'll also have a little bit of a disturbance moving in off the coast giving some shower chances first to the cape and islands, maybe even a rumble of thunder or two and then more showers, rather spotty in nature will be off and on throughout the period on tuesday. keep the umbrella with you just in case tuesday though not a complete washout. high of 73. down to 65 wednesday. then in the 50s and lower 50s by the end of next weekend. back to you. >> all right, pamela. thanks so much.

uber is more popular than ever. the company told the globe that uber drivers provided about two million rides to massachusetts passengers in september. that's a new record. the milestone comes at a time when beacon hill is considering how to regulate ride sharing services that cut into the taxi business. ride sharing services depend to be cheaper as they set their own fares while taxi fares are set by the communities they serve. sometimes finding a parking spot in boston can feel like hitting the lottery but now there are new ways to secure a space hours or even days before you drive downtown. chris mckenna explains. for some describing parking in boston is easy. >> horrific. >> then there's the more >> they're like unicorns. you hear about them but you don't see too many of them. >> reporter: now you can get help from your phone. >> we have a massive amount of area.

into the statehouse tomorrow for a public hearing on nearly three dozen educated related bills. the jorpt are related to charter -- majority are related to charter schools. governor charlie baker unveiled the bill only a few days ago he says that would let the state add up to a dozen new or expanded charter schools each year. the patriots continuing their winning ways. the last three games the patriots have scored 121 points and they didn't let up against the cowboys in dallas. the offense struggled early on but finally things got going in the second quarter. dion lewis was all the way down to the one-yard line. and that set upbraidy. wow. from a yard out he gets a touchdown on the quarterback sneak. the pass will roll over the cowboys. final score 40-6. the pats are 4-0. up next the indianapolis colts and a rematch of last
