continue to speak throughout the day. the democrat presidential candidate is addressing the crowd via satellite because many are already in las vegas preparing for the first debate which is tomorrow night, but so far maryland governor martin o'mali is the only democrat presidential candidate to speak here is his view on removing that divide. we have to invite one another democrats, independents, and republicans to return to the table of democracy and solve these problems. not with words, but with actions. and just moments ago republican candidate donald trump reminded us all that he is leading in the polls which by the way, he said that if that weren't the case he would never speak about poll numbers nonetheless, he did say that as a result of all of this removing the labels is

something that he is passionate about and he says that starts from the top. ultimately it is about the president, it is much more so about the president than you could imagine. if the president is a leader, if he is a real leader or she is a real leader, you'll get things done. and the event goes on well through the afternoon and early evening. we expect to hear from governor chris christie who is expected to be here later on this afternoon as well as senatorbernie sanders, speak to the crowd via satellite because that convention is scheduled for tomorrow night, a lot of democrats are there preparing for that debate. catherine back to you. a lot going on we appreciate it. thank you very much. developing at noon, it is the largest tech deal of all time dell announced it will by emc.

what that means for massachusetts, that's a big deal. as far as tech deals are concern this is nothing short of historic but it does come with uncertainties unclear how dell purchased of emc could help workers. emc employees 9700 people in massachusetts, one of the state's largest employers. some worry that this deal could mean lay offs here. right here dell says its headquarters will remain in texas and the headquarters of the combined enterprise of dell and emc will be located in hawkenton and will come with a good amount of deal. deal will by emc for $67 million, the deal is expected to close by the second or third quarter of dell's fiscal year in february of 2016. still inside emc shareholder approval. they did lay off 1500 workers

with luring the lion outside a protected park. new at noon, the travel troubles may be over for southwest airlines the company says that after a day of computer problems their systems are backup and online. yesterday southwest had to delay nearly 500 flights over problems with their check baggage system. still today. southwest is asking passengers to check in online or through their app before getting to the airport. boston police are hoping video will help them track down a man wanted with connection with a sexual assault. here is video showing a person of interest walking in the neighborhood, the assault happened on september 2nd on doorchester avenue and harborview street. anytime you get a situation like that, there is always very active investigation, i know there is good footage there that was helpful in the apprehension potentially. police say this same person

may be involved in a series of armed robberies all four robberies happened in the areas in leroy streets the victim told police said a man with braids and a head shirt threatened to stab them. vandals strike, painting swastikas, took these pictures of the hateful symbols. a man is in critical condition today after being shot in the head following the patriots cowboys game in texas. police in arlington say there was a fight in the parking lot last night. one person was arrested and is facing charges, police say the victim and shooter may have altercation. back here in massachusetts, a convenience store clerk stabbed on the job. police say a suspect walked into the store at the shell gas station off great road

demanding cash and at some point the clerk was stabbed. the clerk suffered minor injuries that suspect ran off. president obama is speaking out about the search for a new speaker of the house, he says he hopes whom ever gets the job is willing to compromise. the president spoke on 60 minutes and revealed to steve kroft that he and john boehner had a decent working relationship. he did care about the institution, recognized that nobody gets 100% in our democracy. i won't say that he and i were ideal partners, but he and i could talk and get some things done. right now republicans are rallying around paul ryan to be the next speaker, but ryan says he does not want the job. coming up, big changes that could be coming to historic

. we have breaking news, a new hampshire woman who has been missing for weeks has been found dead. inside her own home. sue hutch inson's body was found in a crawl space in a false wall. the detectives searched the home, investigators believe her roommate steven andre killed her and hid the body. he killed himself in a motel last week. one of boston's oldest theaters may have held its last performance with the book of mormon. emerson college owns the theater and decided the close it down for at least a year, they are considering new uses including a possible des

temps in the 60s or 70s, cane, 66 degrees, after you guys dip into the upper 30s last night, and we're running warmer compared to this time yesterday 7 degrees warmer in boston 8 degrees warmer worcester, 7 degrees warmer in nashwhat. hour by hour we continue the warming trend throughout the afternoon, 70s, 70s by 5:00 pulling back into the 60s still very comfortable by 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. here in boston today's high temperatures topping off in the low to mid-70s upper 70s for a lot of spots too, pushing that 80 degree mark for some bedford 77 boston 73, betherly 77 worcester, 72 and more sunshine further to the south and east and more warmth as well mid-70s and mid-60s on the cape and islands, areas along the south coast, cooler temperatures because of that south wind columbus day forecast 76 lots of sunshine and yes, cooler against the south coast.
