. live from the channel 4 studios in boston, wbz news at 11:00 starts right now. breaking news at 11:00, a major tie up on store oh drive. crews just cleared a truck on the eastbound side that got stuck trying to go under the silver overpass. the roof of the truck was crushed by a impact. one inbound lane was closed. both lanes are now open. we are getting our first look tonight at the brook line firefighter who was arrested for fighting a man at a restaurant. >> tonight the firefighter is off the job. katy is here with the latest. >> lisa, that brook line firefighter is accused of

beating up a man he thought was homeless because he was taking too long to order. once outside witnesses say the firefighter sat on top of that man and punched him up to 7 times. investigators say a customer infuriated a brooklyn firefighter. witnesses described it like this. he punched him multiple times and kicked him on the side. people outside the restaurant were stunned hearing about the attack late sunday night. >> it kind of seems out of the ordinary that something like that would happen. >> police said 47-year-old -- called the apparently homeless customer expletives. >> it's awful given the climate in the media, what's been going on with law enforcement. >> cameras caught the attack. a witness said the beating did

wz weather network. all in club 77 today. 77 there, boston made it to 76. that's 13 above the average for this day, not near the record of 90, though. back in 1954. all in the 70s except for a few 60s over cape cod. most of the nation was in good shape today but minneapolis dropped to 48, so that's the beginning of the cool air. it's going to be felt here in the northeast as we get into the upcoming weekend but not much happening except for this one front producing showers. that front may produce a couple of showers here tomorrow evening. so these are in the 50s now. there are a few patches of fog right now. tomorrow's tour, we go up to the lower 70s in most spots, not quite up to the upper 70s but low to mid-70s, that should

do it in central massachusetts and mid-60s in parts of cape cape cod. watch what happens. clouds over in the early morning hours. over southeastern massachusetts, a few isolated ones may move up into the boston area but just briefly. then we have breaks of sunshine and the cold front comes in from the west. but most of these showers are here. wednesday we'll start out nice and sunny in the morning but definitely on the cooler side. but during the day a cold front will come through with a couple thursday. but where is the real cold air? way up here in northern canada and that's going to start charging southeast ward and we will feel that cold air here for the weekend. it's going to be in the 40s on sunday and monday.
