the owners of the power plant say it will close no later than june of 2019. >> thank you for being here was. the 43 year old plant is in need of millions of dollars of repairs and renovations and has the lowest safety marks in the country. our laural >> reporter: the plan operators will be speaking at news conference about the shutdown, we spoke this morning with the president of entergy, the company that runs pilgrim. new england isn't a good place for them to do business. the plant has been controversial for years. the decision to shut it down by june of 2019 is still sudden. the president of the company says in the past year, gas prices are down a dollar, energy prices down $10. the economics don't work anymore.

math teacher. a brookline firefighter just gone before a judge on charges he attacked a restaurant customer because he was taking too long to place his order. the arraignment wrapped up a short time ago and high profile because a brookline firefighter was the one facing charges in this case, all stemming from an alleged attack. i want to get you to video. the prosecutor says police received a call in brookline, they arrived and found the man with blood squirting from his eye area. witnesses said they believe the victim was a homeless man and an argument between joseph ward, the brookline firefighter started inside the restaurant because ward allegedly thought the victim was holding up the line and tension eventually spilled over outside.

there is surveillance video of the encounter, that the prosecutor describes as violent. she says it shows the victim with his back turned, she says it shows ward over hims punching him multiple times and hitting him with the bottle. the video is in the custody of the common wealth. according to ward's attorney, there are multiple sides to this story. >> there are two or possibly multiple sides to every story. in that case that's why i found the most preseverred videotaped evidence where the incident began. the video seen outside, stems from what spilled outside from inside of the restaurant. i didn't hear anything. >> reporter: the suspect left the caught today without saying anything, his attorney did briefly address reporters outside saying that he requested that video because he

for a driver in saga, not the way you want start off the day, a piece of scrap metal flew off of a truck and smashed in the suv. you can the metal went through the windshield. the driver is okay. the truck didn't stop. it's not clear in the driver would have known that the debris fell off. a lawyer and his girlfriend are due in court in connection with the murder in marsh field. michael tolo was held without bail. police say he killed 45 year old robert mc kenna and his girlfriend helped cover up the crime. mc kenna was found dead at his home last month and involved with big game hunting and diamond running in africa. investigators believe robbery may have been a motive. authorities in new hampshire are investigating an alleged hit list. a book called death notes was discovered at gnashwa high school with the names of students inside. the principal says the student
