i think that's my new song. thousands of rowers are spending the weekend around lake charles. this is the largest two-day rowing event. the championship races are today, and boy, it looked effortless to them, but it is a gruelling sport. so much fun to watch, and the weather is probably going to be perfect, not just for the spectators.

satellites with a couple of showers just off cape cod yes, there are snow showers going on in some places. there was a little bit of snow up in northern maine yesterday. it will take until mid-morning to get up into the 40s. 45 at 2:00. it's not going to be a very warm day to say the least. got plenty of color here. cold weather continues, but this is not going to last that long. look at that, carrie. we're back to the 60s on tuesday. >> woo hoo.

a dartmouth woman killed. gerald karera was driving drunk when he slammed into her car. he wasn't hurt, but she was killed. he will be in court on monday. in med ford, the memorial will honor martin richard as well as the boston marathon bombing survivors. footballs used in the colts game sparked the deflategate controversy. a woman left pennsylvania with the child and brought the little boy to boston. how a nurse at the hospital helped solve the case. >> reporter: children's

this is where a 36-year-old mom tiffany cherry wanted him to get medical care and nowhere else. >> >> reporter: is it surprising that they would want to come here? >> well, it's something you want best for your child. >> reporter: a doctor said her son needed serious trauma care. instead of going to the local hospital, she went five hours to boston. after getting the run around, they were advised the baby needed to be admitted to the hospital.

to the hospital. >> we're very pleased with the care he got here. >> reporter: she now faces child endangerment charges in pennsylvania. she also has warrants here she'll have to take care of, prostitution and other things. her family has custody of the baby boy. sacramento police just released sketches of two men they say stabbed spencer stone. he spent the week in the hospital recovering from his wounds. he was one of three americans that stopped a terror attack on a train in france.

a tractor trailer slammed right into a trooper's cruiser. paramedics took him to the hospital where he has since been released. they cited the truck driver. commuter services said they lost about $20 million. about twice as much as they lost 6 months before. they blame the snowstorms that hit new england. the tsa said it will stop using the word anomalie when talking about transgender
