keep in mind, the majority of the democratic party as an alternative for voters with doubts. biden's opening in this race was never really about biden himself, even with a wave of sympathy after the untimely death of his son last spring, biden never showed much moment numb the polls and his two previous campaigns for president were under when he will ming. the biden rationale counted on the clinton candidacy imploding and the anxious democrats turning to him as their savior but that never happened so now the secretary clinton is right where she wants to be, the uncontested choice of party moderates with enough liberal support to hold off bernie sanders and she's the favorite target of the republican party that the democrats just love the hate. and lisa, we'll see that last factor in action tomorrow when hillary clinton testifies before the house committee on benghazi in tell aviced hearings, unless she wilts under the pressure, which i

erratically last night, but this afternoon she called the police in brunswick, maine and told them she and her son are safe. they sently -- simply went on unannounced trip. a coach is accused of raping one of the athletes he worked with. the investigators say he worked with that team but has since has been fired. has the story. >> reporter: david, this is just a head shaker. let me show you the gym. stars. this is where nick johnson worked. he coached, specifically gymnastics that would translate into cheerleading and now the police say he raped one of his students. another cheerleading coach showed autopsy the gym today but said little, only that nick johnson was very quiet and went about his work. but the police say johnson raped one of his students, a 14- year-old girl. the 26-year-old is charged with

the victim told police the times. once here at the gym, but another time here at johnson's apartment in brockton where she went with him to play video games. we were at that apartment today. you saw in the video, and we tried to talk to the neighbors no one was home or would come to the door to speak to us. as for johnson himself, he has been arrested, arraigned and is being held on $50,000 cash bail. reporting live, i'm bill shields, wbz news. >> thank you. tonight a man living on nantucket is being held without bail for two attacks that rattled people on the island. he sexually assaulted two women, one last year and another in 2008. the police say they caught him using his dna. he is facing charges of rape, home invasion, burglary and kidnapping. a man just pleaded not guilty to beating and starching

ordered the man object $200,000 bail. in july the police found his son unresponsive and weighing just 38 pounds. the boy is in a long-term care facility now and he will be back in court next month. draft kings is safe in massachusetts. the attorney general says she won't try to shut down fantasy sports web sites. that is because right now there is no state law specifically banning the games. she told "the globe" she will continue to review the industry and consumer protection issues like fair my and disclosure of risk. a few sprinkles out there today, but it really wasn't too bad. >> and tomorrow the big warm- up. it gets even better. danielle niles here with a look at our forecast. and a couple of cities and towns today touched 70, but many of us will do it dure the day tomorrow. the high today in boston, 61. we hit 70 in taunton. it was warmer when you get to the south coast.

that would make all ivory sales illegal had its first hearing. nearly 100 elephants are killed every day for their tusks. the demand for ivory is fuel -- has fueled a $10 billion a year black market industry and the experts say if it doesn't stop, these animals could be extinct in a decade or so there are restrictions on ivory sales, but they're hard to enforce. last year we went under cover and found ivory being sold right here in boston. the sellers were either unwilling or unable to tell where you say it came from. now a group of lawmakers wants to make massachusetts the fourth state in the country the ban all ivory sales. >> right now as we speak here in massachusetts, the legal ivory market is being used to launder illegal ivory and so the only way we can stop this trade and saver these animals from extings is to put an toned the ivory trade all together. >> reporter: more than 90 lawmakers have signed on and this is a big step. when we first investigated last

year, there wasn't a lot of talk about banning ivory sales here. now the issue is gaining momentum all across the country. for the eye team, wbz news. lisa? >> thank you. massachusetts may be getting ready to take another step to protect animals. the proposed animal abuser registry would give the pet shop owners and breeders access to names of people who have been convicted of animal cruelty. it could give people in the industry a way to make sure that pets do go to responsible homes. the patriots gearing up for a huge game against the jets. rex ryan, of courseno longer through, but durrell rivas is and tom brady says the rivalry is as heated as ever before. sports director steve burton is here. and when the schedule came out and you saw the jets. >> you thought it would be a weaker team. >> and do you know why it is? less talk, more action. the head coach has the teem taking a more business like approach. they're letting their play on the field say everything, and

61 in worcester. look at connecticut, 72 right now so here we go. if you zoom out the view, the 70s not too for away. in fact, new york city, 72 degrees right now. 74 in cincinnati. so this is our weather for tomorrow. the mild air is going to come in with a gusty southwest breeze so we're on the cooler side of things for some of us today. the issue is there is a front sitting right over us. it is stalling out now. eventually it is going to return northward as a warm front during the day tomorrow. so like the last couple of evenings and nights, you can't rule out an isolated shower, but it would be that. no issues for your evening commute home or tomorrow morning. a few clouds in the emergency and then the sun breaks out. of us. the sunshine will be a little limited tomorrow, but the lower 707s will still be able to happen because of that gusty southwest wind. the wind may gust as high as afternoon. the cold front comes in late in the day tomorrow.
