timing coming up in just a bit. back to you. we begin with breaking news now. a murder investigation is under way in brighton. >> we now have more on what police are telling us. >> reporter: kathryn, bree, police are searching for surveillance video trying to get any clues they can on this latest homicide. step aside here, this is exactly where it happened here on tellford street. i want to get you video of the scene. police arrived to find a man 30 years old dead of multiple wounds. it has the potential of being a very busy location but with very little information to go on, police are still searching for the shooter. >> the individual, the shooter, ran through this parking lot and the direction of western

avenue and we are, you know, obviously still looking for that individual. they are checking the cameras in the area. they are, you know, obviously doing a canvas of the area. >> reporter: taking another live look at the scene this it tellford street. right across the area is a star market restaurant and mcdonald's right down the street. so definitely a lot that police could have to go on. police are urging anyone with information to contact them. live in brighton, nicole jacobs. more breaking news. another shooting on a college campus. one person killed, two others wounded at tennessee state university in nashville. investigators say it appears to have started as a dispute over a dice game in an outdoor courtyard. the victim did not go to the school.

the two injured are students. they are expected to survive. last week, three people were shot at an offcampus party across the street. all survived. we're also following developing news. a contractor at logan airport is under investigation for taking a selfie while standing on the wing of a plane last night. the plane is a 737 owned by american airlines. it was parked by a hangar at the time. the jet is out of service while maintenance crews examine the wing for any damage. massport and state police are investigating. the anonymous tipster who raised questions about one of the jurors in the aaron hernandez trial will be questioned in court today. after hernandez was convicted, the tipster said one of the jurors knew about another double murder in boston that hernandez is also facing questions in. prosecutors questioned the tipster's credibility saying she wrote sexually explicit letters to hernandez in jail.

a salem man accused of abusing and killing dogs is banned from having any animals, but we order. on his property. neighbors have complained about the barking. as katie brace reports, some are afraid to come forward given charges he already awaits. jason awaits charges on several animal abuse charges. we heard one outside and another inside. are you still breeding dogs? >> no comment. >> reporter: court papers show the judge's handwritten order when he posted bail not to possess any dogs. gentry was raising donovan dogs. he is accused of running an illegal kennel. police called the conditions at the lynn facility deplorable.

he is accused of killing dogs, hanging them, and leaving the bodies at a revere station. those living near gentry are afraid. >> he's not supposed to have contact with animals. he's got contact with animals, plain and simple. nothing's been done. >> reporter: police have visited the home for barking complaints but says the court never told them gentry could not have animals. >> when i spoke to his girlfriend, she told me she's caring for the dogs. >> reporter: are they your dogs or your girlfriend's dogs? >> no comment. call my lawyer. >> reporter: for now, the dogs stay put. in salem, katie brace, wbz news this morning. a 15-year-old boy faces charges for bringing a loaded handgun to school in his backpack yesterday.

take him into custody, he ran and struggled with officers, injuring one of them. police found one bullet in the chamber. the teen told police he forgot the gun was in his bag. right now, police are looking for the suspect who stabbed a 17-year-old at an orange t line station. the victim's injuries are life- threatening. police think the suspect may also be 17. the jackson square t stop was shut down while police investigate. hillary clinton resumes her campaign for president after testifying before congress for 11 hours yesterday. during the hearing, tempers flared and at times boiled over. >> what do you have to accomplish today? >> reporter: hillary clinton thursday on capitol hill turned into a test of endurance and patience. republicans accuse the former secretary of state of ignoring requests from the late ambassador christopher stevens for more security at the u.s. embassy in benghazi.

this is what boston seaport's district could look like a decade or so for now. this is according to "the globe." a chestnut hill developing company has bought the last remaining parcel of land for $359 million. it's one of the priciest land deals ever in boston.

admired mental health facilities in the country will honor patrick kennedy. kennedy made headlines recently for speaking up about his famous family and struggles with mental illness and before leaving congress, kennedy was instrumental in passing equal health care coverage for mental health and addiction. tonight, mclean hospital will present him with the highest boston. john farrell's cancer is in remission. he was diagnosed with nonhodgkin's lymphoma and tests on wednesday confirm that his cancer in remission. sox president of operation dave dombrowski says they all look forward to having farrell back as their manager. in a statement, farrell said "i'm extremely grateful for the outpouring of support i received from the red some, family, and friends. i look forward to getting back

a shooting on the campus of tennessee state and nashville. investigators say it appears to have started over a dispute over a dice game in an outdoor courtyard. the victim did not go to school there. the two injured are students. they are expected to survive. jerseys signed by some of boston's greatest athletes were stolen and the crime was caught on camera. the thief ripped out one surveillance camera but another caught him stealing all of the memorabilia on the wall. >> so it is a sickening feeling knowing that there are people who don't care about others. >> employees say it's clear from the surveillance video the thief knew what was in the shop and knew how to get it. they believe the person may

draftkings is being subpoenaed seeking information about whether a draftkings employee had insider information that may have helped him win $350,000 in a contest on a competing site fan duel. draftkings hasn't commented. two brookline firefighters have been fired following three separate incidents. the brookline board of selectmen voted to kick him out. ward was not on duty at the time of his crime. also, jeremy joseph who was arrested on dui following a crash in newton. some police officers and first responders in hingham are getting thanked by someone they helped. luke was crossing the street
