it's not going to be a bad one. >> no, not too bad but shockingly cooler. yesterday, we had highs in the 70s and a south wind completely different. high temps will be close to what we're experiencing right now and a northwest breeze making it feel quite brisk all afternoon. 52 in boston. 45 degrees to start off your morning there in worcester and some mid-50s on the cape and islands. satellite and radar pictures showed most locations not seeing any measurable rainfall. we missed out on the rain chance and a few clouds farther to the north in new hampshire and vermont. otherwise clear. 50 degrees by the time you height the drive home, bright, breezy. that's the big deal. we have fall temperatures definitely taking over. we stay cool for a little bit and then for the weekend, a slight warm-up. also a chance for sunday rain. i'll have the hour by hour

police converged onto this area and found a 30-year-old man dead of multiple gunshot wands. -- wounds. it has the potential of being a busy and congested area. >> we don't have much of a point at this -- we don't have much of a description. >> very little to go on right now. certainly they are urging anyone to come forward. police are asking anyone with information to help them out and give them a call. >> nicole, thank you very much. more breaking news, we're following another shooting on a college campus. one person killed, two others

injured at tennessee state university in nashville. investigators say that it appears to have started over a outdoor courtyard. the victim did not go to the school. students. they are expected to survive last week. three people were shot at an off-campus party across the street. all survived. also breaking this morning, at least 42 people dead at a bus crash in france. many more are seriously hurt. the bus collided with a truck in wine country. this is in the southwest part of france. officials say the death toll is high because the bus caught fire. the but bus was carrying mostly elderly tourists. the cause, again, is under investigation. and a developing story this morning. a worker at logan airport is under investigation for taking a selfie while standing on the wing of a plane last night. >> susie systemle is live for us at logan with the latest. good morning, susie. >> reporter: good morning, kathryn. this is a strange one. the question here at logan, how

far would you go for a selfie? well, a swiss port worker took it pretty far. climbed onto the wing of a 737 to take a picture of themselves while here at work, and now of service. a few things we want to drive home. first of all, this was a contracted worker who was allowed to be on the tarmac and did have access to the site. so it's not someone who wasn't supposed to be there. or trouble for passengers because the plane was done for the night and didn't have any scheduled flights. it's been taken out of service temporarily. maintenance is looking to see if somebody climbing on the wing damaged anything. there's also a investigation into whether he's facing it worth it? the picture hasn't been posted haven't been able to take a look at what may have been an epic selfie.

we're live at logan airport. susie steimle, wbz news this morning. >> thank you, though, susie. we appreciate it. a 15-year-old boy is facing charges for bringing a loaded gun to school. police say he had a handgun in his backpack yesterday. officers say when they tried to take him into custody, he ran and struggled with them, injuring one of the officers. police say they found one bullet in the chamber of the gun. the teen told police he forgot it was in his bag. right now, police are looking for the suspect who stabbed a 17-year-old at an orange line t station. the victim's injures are life- threatening. police believe the suspect may also be 17. the jackson square t stop was shut down while police investigated, but it is now back open. a man already accused of killing two dogs is keeping animals on his property. jason gentry of salem is awaiting trial on animal abuse charges. he is accused of running an illegal kennel.

dogs until they died then dumped their bodies at a revere gas station. as part of a court order, he is not allowed to have any animals on his property. one dog was found in his backyard, and there were more barking inside of his home. >> when i spoke to his girlfriend, she told me that she's caring for the dogs and that he had no contact. i'd have no way of proving that. >> salem's animal control officer says police had visited the home for barking complaints but never told them gentry could not have animals. he says he has to get clarification on the judge's orders but as of now, all of the dogs are still there. a jersey signed by some of boston's greatest athletes were stolen in saugus. late wednesday night, a thief came in the back door and ripped out one of the surveillance cameras. another caught him stealing all. framed sports memorabilia from the walls including jerseys

>> we have diplomatic facilities in war zones. we have ambassadors that we send to places that have been bombed and attacked all the time. >> reporter: democrats continue to say the investigation into the 2012 attack is an attempt to ruin clinton's run for president. it's the families of the four killed in the attack, including winchester native glenn dougherty who might be the ultimate jury. they say the hearing itself have offered little context. >> as expected, a lot of the real answers that we're looking for were kind of brushed off or not answered in the detail that we would like. >> reporter: dougherty's family criticize the government's actions the night glenn died. his mother tells the globe she did not watch the hearing and that she sees the house committee investigating benghazi and politically motivated. the anonymous tipster who raised questions about one of the jurors in the aaron

hernandez trial will be questioned in court today. after hernandez was convicted of killing odin lloyd, the tipster said one of the jurors knew about another double murder in boston that hernandez is also facing questions in. prosecutors questioned the tipster saying she wrote sexually explicit letters to hernandez in jail. proceedings are closed to the public. the u.s. attorney's office has subpoenaed draftkings seeking information about whether a draftkings employee had inside information that may have helped him win $350,000 in dual. draftkings has not commented. great news for red sox manager john farrell. his cancer is in remission. john farrell was diagnosed with nonhodgkin's lymphoma in august and completed his chemo earlier this month.

president of operations said farrell would return as sox manager if he had a clean bill of health. dombrowski said the team is looking forward to having farrell back as their manager. meanwhile, farrell released a statement saying i am extremely thankful for the outpouring of support i have received. my family and friends, i look forward to getting back to work and bringing another championship back to boston. more red sox news now. nesn announced last night that jerry remy will be back in the broad booth to do at least 100 games. there was speculation that he could be leaving. >> i can't wait to see them bring more championships. that's great, manager farrell. >> that's good news. is it ill to come, new details on a deadly fire in chicopee and what investigators say caused this home to go up in flames. more changes coming to boston's seaport district and how it could change the city's landscape.

investigation for taking a selfie on the wing of a plane last night. the plane is a 737 owned by american airlines. it was parked near a hangar at the time. the jet is now out of service while maintenance crews examine the wing for any damage. human error was suspected to be the problem for the latest big dig project. as we told you yesterday, the nuts holding up tunnel lights are cracking. the hardware may have been overtightened when they were installed. more than 900 are compromised. crews are going light by light to inspect and fix them. despite the problem, the state highway chiefs say the tunnels are safe. >> the tunnels are safe. the riding structures are safe. to be perfectly honest with you, if we felt for a second it would be unsafe, we would close the tunnel. >> he suspects human error. the cost will be paid out of the regular maintenance budget and work will be done overnight.

partisan posturing i can stand. from what i did see, i seriously doubt anyone who wasn't already an avowed clinton lover or hater will have their mind changed by what went on, but there is something important to be learned from the entire charade. it's the answer to a question. how much do you value being told the truth by your government? well before yesterday the record was clear, the state department continued to put out a bogus self-serving explanation of what motivated the slaughter of our people in pen ghazi well -- benghazi well after they knew the truth. it was an attack by an organized terrorist group. then secretary clinton and her colleagues felt compelled to mislead us because they felt it would hurt the election politically. clinton's efforts to deny that

this hurricane, patricia, which is expected to make landfall in mexico. >> later today, tonight illly. this is the strongest in the eastern pacific that they've ever recorded in history. it is the first category 5 to make landfall. once it does, it will be the first since we kept records in 1949. it is a monster of a storm that's headed to the north- northwest at 12 miles per hour. the latest still shows max wind speeds of 200 miles per hour. that's incredible. pressure extremely low, 880 milibars. as we go through the track here, we anticipate it to hit the coast as a category 5 later on today into tonight, but then weakening considerably. i had an extra tropical low by saturday morning. a lot of that moisture, however, has been headed to texas. friends there will be dealing

he died at the hospital. that man has not been identified. jared fogle is starting to pay restitution to his victims. another four are expected to get the same amount by the time fogel is sentenced by november. the child pornography and sex crimes. he's expected to plead guilty to traveling to have sex with a minor. a nurse is suing the state of new jersey. kasey hickok says state officials violated her civil rights. when she returned from west africa last year, she was forced to stay in a tent outside of a hospital even though she had no ebola symptoms. she's seeking at least $250,000 in damages. lamar odom's family says his condition is improving. the former nba and reality star is at an l.a. hospital and family members say he's rye gaining his --
