live look at what the weather good morning. >> reporter: hey, good morning. not raining yet. the skies are mostly cloudy and we are tracking the the radar. and i thought it would be quite eter than it actually is. we have a guy painting lines on the field behind us. there's been a lot of action. benches. those were just wheeled out a short time ago. and i have to admit, it's not that chilly this morning but once you stand out for a few the cool side. let's show you what's going on, pre-game tailgating and a few showers with temperatures in the 50s. if you're coming out here to gillette, in the parking lot here, opens at 9:00 a.m., and i would have the umbrella or raincoat. i am not anticipating anything heavy or all that long in duration. kick-off, a brief sprinkle still possible. skies mostly cloudy and look at that, into the lower 60s today. breezy and fairly mild. and a late daybreak of sunshine not out of the question as

well. and live doppler shows the rain through worcester right now. it's generally light and coming inside of 495 in the next 20 minutes or so. it's all with the cold front that extends ex -- that extends from northern maine to the mid-atlantic. we will stop by mid-morning, light rain right here over gillette stadium. boston to providence and then by the time we get to late morning, it tends the fizzle out. we stay mostly cloudy through the afternoon and late in the day, we get partial clearing that comes in, temperatures across the board actually in the lower 60s. so not too bad. we've handled every different type of weather, so a couple showers not a big deal at all. >> you know what though, heated bench, i don't care if it's only in the 50s, those are all right. >> i may have to go over and warm up and then come back over. see if they'll the turn them on. >> yeah. thank you so much. we will check back in. a murder in hyde park, a

say one of the family members killed him. police arrested evan lewis. louis used to work as a boston police dispatcher. and lewis is also the victim's niece. >> reporter: boston police remained onguard outside a hyde park saturday night, the scene of a family shooting earlier in the day. investigators telling wbz news a woman shot her own you think until the head. he later died. >> on arrival, we had a male in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. it looks like it's clearly domestic in nature. >> my mom, my son, my uncle in there. >> reporter: family members rushed to the home looking for answers from police. all day long, investigators looked for the suspect, 36-year- old evan lewis. saturday evening, she was arrested.

she worked for boston police for nine years as a communications equipment operator before resigning in 20126789 a source describing her as a problem employee. >> we -- in 2012. a source describe her as a problem employee. >> we consider her armed and dangerous. >> reporter: just after the shooting, they told neighbors to take cover indoors. >> my car into the driveway and i saw police. and a few of them have guns in their happened and we rushed inside, okay. so one of them yelled, stay inside, stay inside. so we went inside and tried to stay safe. >> reporter: as of late last night, the name of the victim still had not been released but once again, police telling us that the victim is the uncle of the suspect who is now under arrest. the exact motive in all of this remain a mystery. in hyde park, jim smith, wbz this morning. investigators are trying to figure out what caused a small plane to crash just minutes after taking off from worcester airport. the crash killed a pilot.

the small single engine plane crashed into trees on the airport grounds. the pilot was the only person onboard. the construction worker nearby saw the plane go down. >> i just saw a plane crash. looked like it was right above the trees and it just, again, it wasn't up a little bit and then spun over, like almost straight down. we heard it crash and bang. >> the victim has been identified as gary weller of putnam, connecticut. cambridge police are searching for two suspects this morning accused of stabbing a man last night near a cemetery. police say the victim was walking by north cambridge catholic cemetery just before 9:00 when the suspects tried to rob him. when he resisted, he was stabbed in the back. the victim told police he was on his way to meet a woman he met on facebook but had never met in person. he was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. a marshfield mother is under arrest accused of driving

drunk after a crash on the cape and her 6-year-old daughter was in the car at time. police got word that the 35- year-old may have been driving drunk. minutes later, a car struck a pole on route 28 and caught fire. bystanders helped get the 6- year-old out of the car. she suffered minor injuries. police were able the to pull her from the car before the fire got out of hand. the pennsylvania mother who triggered an amber alert by driving her baby to boston is sharing her story. tiffany cherry was arrest when had she arrived here in massachusetts. she tells us that she was doing what she thought was best for her son. >> i would do anything for my children. to get my son the best care. and i would do it again. >> reporter: tiffany cherry does not regret driving her sick 2-month-old son from pennsylvania to boston that sparked an amber alert landing her in jail. >> everything in me told me tiffany, go. get your baby to boston children's hospital.

>> reporter: it all started when tiffany was told at an emergency chin nick dehydrated and he must be admitted to an emergency room for further care. >> i wasn't comfortable with the standard of my care my child was receiving. >> reporter: so she drove 4.5 hours to boston children's hospital. >> he was at children's hospital to have issue with his esophagus and low blood. so the dehydration came from a nurse practitioner who looked at my son for 10 seconds and didn't have a clue. >> reporter: the tiffany admits to being in trouble with the law in the past but says the amber alert never should have been issued. >> the the pennsylvania authorities just jumped the gun. >> reporter: she posted bail last week but she no longer has custody of her children. she has already suffered a loss when a son was stillborn back in 2009. >> it hurricane joaquins. it hurt -- it hurts. it hurts.

their classmates. investigators say the teens were planning to call in a bomb virginia. and then they planned to shoot people as they evacuated. the school resource officer was tipped off about the violent plans and arrested a 17-year- old student earlier this month. investigators then arrested a 15-year-old student on friday. both are now charged with conspiracy to commit murder. >> police investigation did access to firearms. >> the students are being held without bond. university, police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed a 19-year-old man during a fight on campus. three students were hurt in that shooting but all are now home from the hospital. the victim was not a student. parts of texas being pounded by rain today from what is left of hurricane patricia. downpours are expected to last are flooded. a train has derailed from the
