it is tuesday, october 27th, and it is chilly for sure. >> i just -- it's like the point of no return. when you put the heat on, the kids won't want to hear it but a heavy coat type of morning, too. we're not talking about 30s. 20s on the map are widespread in a lot of spots. 25 in keen, 27 in pittsburgh, and we're in the 28 in providence town, it's 40 in boston. we've got a little bit of a breeze, helping to keep the temperatures up a little bit and the city itself is lilths milder than the surrounding suburbs. you saw on the satellite, a couple clouds moving in. they're thing wispy clouds. 52 by lunchtime, light breeze topping out in the mid-50s. a few wispy clouds, 51 for the ride home, sunset 5:44. tracking some rain on the way

for tomorrow, the line coming up, traffic and weather together. hi, roby. we have the latest crash in wilmington, before dascom, the stop and go back up to 110. then lynnfield, route 1, the left lane is blocked there. we had a disabled car earlier on granite. the damages done, jammed from 6:02. we begin with a developing story. police investigating a threat at a middle school. >> despite the investigation, school is open today. let's get to nicole jacobs live, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. the threat came in over the weekend and quickly law enforcement officers and school officials work to sort it all out.

today, but this threat has not interrupted the class schedule at all. it was also opened yesterday but school officials have been very tight-lipped when it comes to specifics related to this threat, and student who allegedly made it, but we do know again that it happened over the weekend at which point there were no students at school and no one was in danger and authorities immediately intervened. the school superintendents because of confidentiality laws there isn't a whole lot she can say, but she did provide a statement reading in part, because the event occurred over the weekend, and the student is not in school, the police are handling this at this time. according to the patriot ledger, the students are undergoing a mental assessment per protocol. the superintendent did not want to relay anything to the superintendent because the

community is so small, she says it would be very easy to discern exactly which student might be involved simply by way of the absentee lists. we're live in pembroke this morning, wbz this morning. >> thank you very much for the update. a car fire causing trouble on 95 south and wall this morning, take a look at this. police tweeted out the picture of the flames. the right lane was due to a fire. luckily nobody was hurt. a quincey couple captured after weeks on the run. this morning the accused bank robbers are due in a pennsylvania courtroom. >> they were called a modern day bonnie and collide hitting banks up and down the east coast. >> it's hard to tell where joe and jenny are going to face charges first. they're wanted in at least four states. i-95 in philadelphia shut down monday after a high-speed chase. police surrounded an suv stolen

inside, they found joseph and jenny carrier, suspects in a wilmington delaware robbery in the day. >> that was the way they lived. they became a different person, i don't know what happened to them. >> barbara lives next store to the carriers. she tells wbz the couple was just like anyone else. >> they seemed pretty normal. you had no ideas? >> no, nothing. they lived their lives like everybody else. >> but police say they're not like everyone else, with search small dogs in tow, police say they hit banks in massachusetts, pennsylvania, delaware and florida. they dubbed the couple a bonnie and clyde robbing banks to feed a drug habit. >> the suv they were in was reported stolen from a dealer in quincey, where jenny carrier used to work. they'll be in front of a judge in pennsylvania later today, chris, back to you. 6:05 tuesday morning. police think they found the car involved in a deadly hit-and-run

police say the driver hit a 33-year-old man as he tried to cross route 1 south on sunday night. the driver took off from the scene in a red car. the victim later died at the hospital. police say the victim's from new york, but they have not released his name. also this morning police are trying to figure out what caused a woman to cross the center line before crashing into a cement truck. this crash happened on route 20 in oxford. the 31-year-old driver of that car died. two little boys in her car were badly hurt. an 8-month-old is on life sport and a 2-year-old is in the hospital. a counter attack in new hampshire. the masked man barged into the down the block convenience store in manchester about 11:30, pointed a small knife and demanded cash. that's when she pulled out a knife of her own.

tomorrow morning's commute is drive. the afternoon mostly dry, although a couple showers move in towards the late afternoon and the evening commute, but the heaviest rain by far falls after evening rush hour tomorrow. 9:00, 10:00, heavy downpours that continue overnight, so the good news is the heaviest rains fall overnight. if you're an early morning commuter, still left over downpours, but by 7, 8:00, the showers are done. sun breaks up, coming up around 70, and a passing shower west of boston, so we may get an official out, and temperatures falling from the 60s into the 50s. the wind also going to be an issue, and they'll be a little bit gusty tomorrow coming out of the east-southeast. gusts between thurt and 40 miles per hour, a few gusts may approach 50 miles an hour

it is 6:47 on your tuesday. checking our top stories, a quincey couple accused of robbing banks all over the east coast are expected in a courtroom today. >> joseph and jenny carrier were expected today after weeks on the run wanted for crimes in massachusetts, pennsylvania, delaware. the superintendent there tells us a student reportedly made threats over the weekend but law enforcement worked quickly to handle it. since it happened, off campus, classes are in session. the driver is still on the loose this morning. police say a 33-year-old man from new york was hit by the red car as he tried to cross route one. the victim later died at the hospital.
