live from the channel 4 studio in boston. >> our top story, police searching for two armed robbers. >> the suspect the zip tied to workers, stole coins and took off. a nine-month-old taken off life support after a terrible crash. his mother also died in the crash. investigators say she crossed the centerline and slammed into a truck.

rnr -- rr at rei. it's been more than a quarter-century since this woman then is, but her family has never given up hope of finding out what happened. today marks 26 years. >> she disappeared in 1989 and today paul byrd sat down with relatives who are convinced that one day this mystery will be soft. >> it gets worse each year. she hasn't been found, no information, we are just trying to bring her home. >>reporter: it has been 26 years and it is still a mystery. her uncle says the pain of not knowing never gets old.

of teenagers gathered in a wooded area. the family says somebody knows what happened that night. >> she did not deserve to be thrown away like trash. we just want to bring her home to give her a proper burial. everyone deserves that. >> i remember a cute little blonde girl with dimples and always smiling. unfortunately, i remember that she went missing and was never found. >> this man was only 11 years old at the time. he recently wrote a song about her life and disappearance. >> to go more than 2 1/2 decades has become increasingly infuriating. >>reporter: after multiple searches there have been no results and no arrests. still, another year goes by and another billboard goes up asking about her whereabouts.

thursday morning. we are also looking at a coastal impact all featuring minor coastal flooding. we will focus in on the wind side of the equation in a few minutes. people living in a small town are rallying around the family of a little boy who died suddenly. it was on friday that christopher chester and his father were delivering cookies. christopher suddenly tripped and fell and despite the best efforts of his father and first responders he died. a relative set up a go fund me page insofar the community has raised more than $21,000. the justice department just open a federal civil rights investigation after a school resource officer was seen on camera dragging a student from

>>reporter: amateur video posted to social media shows richland county deputy then yields wrapping -- ben feilds wrapping his arms around a student's neck. other video show him restraining the student in front of the classroom, while a school administrator and stunned classmate looked on. >> i have never seen anything so nasty. it was to the point where other students were turning away. >> it was outrageous and unforgivable. it does not represent who this district is. >>reporter: the justice department has now opened a will determine if federal charges are warranted. the deputy joins the sheriffs office in 2004.
