bracing for the tied livepictures, communities along the coast preparing for flooding we're gearing up for a wind-swept soaker, rain, winds, flooding, also heading this way, good afternoon. >> we appreciate you being here, at this hour rain is marching up the east coast you can see it behind us and danielle has our eye on the storm for you. >> hey chris, good afternoon everybody, we're tracking the rain right now and there is steady rain moving in through new york back through portions of southern vermont, rain approaching the south coast of new england, we are dry right now clouds have been thickening up but the rain will continue to advance in from west to east through the course of the afternoon. 4:00, backup along the 495 belt into the city of boston, for the evening drive, notice there will likely be some downpours p.m. rain filling in on the cape and the islands, the rain will fall

year-old whose body washed up on deer island in june. a new report details the state's role in bella's life is expected to be released this afternoon. >> susie is live at the statehouse this afternoon with more on this. >> good afternoon, chris and catherine. this report could have an impact on future dcs cases, today we expect to find out if more could have been done by the state to protect bella bond. bella bond is the 2-year-old girl whose remains washed up on deer island, known for so long as baby doe, likeness splashed on billboards across the state she was. she was identified in september and then her mother, rachelle bond was charged as an accessory to her murder, her mother's boyfriend, michael mccarthy, was charged with killing the child, dcs did have a history with this family, but the case was closed back in

that is what prompted governor independent study from the office of the child advocate to investigate what went wrong and what more could have been done to protect this little girl as far as the case goes, for bond and mccarthy, they are currently being held as this case continues and their defense attorneys just want to request to have a second autopsy performed on the little girl and that's why bella bond has yet to be buried. we're live on beacon hill. developing right now boston police are searching for this man in connection with last week's murder in brighton. they say 26-year-old gamada should be considered armed and dangerous, if you see this man you should call police right away. clean up is now underway after this massive fire tears through a lynn apartment building more than 2 dozen people were forced from their homes on chestnut street,

heading to bed. no one was hurt luckily, the flames quickly escalated reaching 3 alarms no word what caused that fire. it could be a perfect story as we get closer and closer to halloween, get this, a self- proclaims witch in salem is battling a warlock in court. what can you tell us nicole. >> as you said it was between a warlock and a witch perhaps this time of year is most fitting just a few days before halloween, and the city couldn't be more perfect, either, salem, known also as witch city. we're taking a look now at the parties involved in this situation at the center of it all allegations of harassment, lori is 75 years old says she is a psychic, a witch, who has been harassed by a warlock, christian day, she alleged late night and early morning phone calls from someone whose voice

has known him for 18 or, since he was 18 years old. he is 45. she even treated him like a son, she says. she says he posted malicious content about her online, via facebook and other social media and that has affected her business. but the warlock says he is actually the victim. both have shared disparaging comments against each other, we also learned this afternoon this may have all started because of a television show network contracts. >> when we went to find the contract, which essentially, i was told by her that she had rented a store space several months before and that you know, she was planning to open this space but wanted to continue to work the rest of the month of october and i told her no, and things got ugly and you know, bad language was used but this was in october of

2012. >> and so that is when it began, right now on the stand letting the judge know about these photo shop images she says that were posted online by a person she believes was day. but the judge is questioning her certainty in that, saying, it could have been anyone. but it all appears at this point that this may have all been an issue of money. we're live in salem. a worcester bus driver is off the job after a five-year- old got off his school bus and hit by a car that little boy was just released from the hospital with a broken leg and a minor head injury. but he is expected to be okay. good samaritans jumped right into action to help him out when he was hit crossing the busy hamilton street on monday, today investigators want to know why he was let off the bus without someone there to greet him which is school policy.

she has been fighting to at least get jersey barriers placed there. a scary moment on board an american flight now under investigation. the plane flying from phoenix to san diego was actually hit by a green laser. the plane was able to land safely and no passengers on board were injured, the pilot and co-pilot declined medical treatment. and a plus for massachusetts students in the top five in the nation according to a new report card as a whole, reading scores were down across the country. massachusetts ranked first in fourth and eighth great math as well as fourth grade reading but finished behind new hampshire ineighth grade reading. the count down is on one day left until the pats face off with the dolphin in the thursday night show the team is at gilette for last minute preparations they practiced indoors preparing to face a strong offense from miami the

head into the midnight high tied tonight, don't forget, it is usually two hours either side of the high tied as it comes in and starts to gout slowly the wind on shore, south, southeast, 25 to 50 miles per hour isolated gusts same for tomorrow midday's high tied, that would be confined to the south mainly of rhode island and back to buzzard bay as well. could see minor splash over. right now, no rain but the clouds have thickened up temperatures 55 in boston, dew points in the mid-40s, the wind is coming out of the east at 22 miles per hour, sustained in boston right now. even have a few higher gusts out there, 47 in worcester, most of us running into the lower 50s, north of town, 59 and taunton. leading edge of the rain see how there is a hole over us, the first not making it down to the ground coming down through

up and down the east coast, this is the remanent moisture from what was hurricane patricia, there is tropical energy associated with this as well. so there will be pockets of rain around for the evening commute. one exception may be the further you get into eastern massachusetts, down to the cape until 7:00, 8:00 to move back in. there will be downpours around after the evening commute, over absolutely pour. tropical downpours embedded thunderstorms, nasty start to the day, a line of tropical lane embedded thunder, it does push offshore pretty quickly, but should also mean that some areas of localizedded flooding result, ponding water on the roadways reduced visibility accordingly. 8 a.m., drying out and the sun breaks out we come into the 70s

tomorrow afternoon, the south coast of clouds may be stubborn, notice 5 p.m., this is a cold front coming in that may spark an isolated brief shower as we head into late afternoon and early part of the evening before clearing comes in after that. so rain fall totals this is projected map the blues the purples, lining up here, looks like an inch or two inches of rain for most of us the wind again right now gusting 35 miles per hour in bedford, and the wind is just getting 7 p.m. this evening until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning for gusts to 45 miles per hour and i wouldn't even be surprised to see some gusts as high as 50, 55 miles per hour early tomorrow morning some of the in. areas of rain, look at this, the temperature goes up over night tonight, temperatures come into the 70s as the sun breaks out tomorrow and the game day forecast for the pats, may be a brief shower by tailgating by kickoff, 60
